An ample house for the two of us on our visit to the Scottish Borders for a rambling holiday. great facilities in the property, several showers, toilets and large kitchen and bathrooms. Stairs were OK for us but less mobile people might find the windy staircase a little challenging. We rather liked it.

On arrival the central heating wasn't working. Our host arranged for someone to come round and have a look. A simple alteration to boiler setting fixed the issue and we had ample heat for the rest of our stay(which, as it happens, was sunny throughout in mid September). Everything else was really good.

The apartment is spacious , well mentained, clean and comfortable. it's located in a nice area, the view is amazing and you have acces to everything you would need. It is very close the the town centre ,but far enough to avoid the traffic jam. simply gorgeous 😍 I highly recommend it 👌

The appartment is big, well decorated and fully equipped. Very comfortable for a few days stay to discover Edinburgh. It is only a 20min by walk to the castle area and located in a very nice neighbourhood, close to Haymarket. I will recommend.

They provided clear instructions for the check in but the communication was sometimes slow, as apparently they didn't receive the messages we were sending via Booking. The cot provided for the baby smelled musty.

the cabin was absolutely delightful and the local was absolutely beautiful. The hosts were so welcoming and warm. The cabin had everything i needed and the bed was incredibly comfortable. it was a quiet location and was just what i needed.

The hotel itself is stunning and rather quiet. We stayed in the Venetian suite which was big enough for a family of 3 The room was spacious and the furniture were adequate The hotel restaurant The Cloisters was great.

The hotel does not seem to be completely ready for families - they charge for extra cots/beds which is fine. However, the cot in our room was a travel cot (quite tiny) and was not fitted with the appropriate bedding (only a normal size bed sheet was given which we assume had to be used as a duvet). We requested extra blankets and what we were given was not appropriate for a baby. There were only towels for two adults in the room, nothing for our son. In essence, they seem to have forgotten about the 3rd occupant of the room. The suite we had was quite noisy which is nobody's fault as it is an old building and our room was street facing but it is good to bear in mind if you are a light sleeper.

parts if the route to reach the village were quite challenging, especially to two 80+ year old who hadn't driven on such roads for a considerable number of years ... but it was worth it when we arrived at our destination.
