This apartment was perfect for us. The host was informative and had checked in with us through our stay to check all was going ok. We were with our 1 year old and the host provided a cot for us. We were also with our older parents who loved that it was on the ground floor. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed for a short family break. We visit Portrush each year and it was in walking distance of the beach and restaurant’s. I would defo stay here again.

There was nothing I could fault about the property.

Beautifully warm. Comfy armchairs. Hot water on tap. Well equipped. Superb value for money. Bed linen was spotless and pressed within an inch of its life. Lovely view from the little patio area. Table with a parasol would have been handy as one day was really bright & sunny, though to be fair we didn’t ask. A treat we drove straight past & missed was The Folklore museum at Hutton le Hole, fellow guest said it was brilliant.

For the price.? Nothing Oh, but maybe a mirror in the lounge close to a plug for hair straighteners etc.

Location, easy walking to High St and station. Having breakfast onsite was good. The view from the breakfast room over the Loch was lovely. Bathroom was small but well equipped. Helpful staff, informative on local area.

Room was very small with places to put suitcases very restricted. The smell from the kitchen in the early morning of cooking was very unpleasant.

Although it is clearly going through some modernisation and there is a little bit of decorating to finish, I found the size of the room and the facilities provided to be good value and good quality.
Negative section of review
There is quite a lot of noise between rooms, especially from the floorboards moving in adjoining rooms and upstairs

The room was large and well equipped with a large screen tv to watch the euros on , complimentary bottled water , tea/coffee and biscuits etc

No obvious access to a bar for drinks and when calling reception on the phone to order room service did not get an answer . Car park was not easily identifiable from the busy main road so ended up paying £16 to park in ncp over the road

Warm and friendly welcome. Huge immaculate room with new modern en suite. Breakfast was superb too.

Nothing to dislike at all

Lovely big bath. Nicely decorated. Smaller than we expected. Great location on the high street.

The bed is too small and access is up some steps so not practical. The tv is tiny and the sofa not comfortable. We couldn’t get access until 4 as the lock is timed and had to be out early. The skylight above the bed let’s in too much light. The breakfast was minimal - long lasting fruit like apples and kiwis which had probably been there for a while! No croissants as listed.

The location of the property is close to our relative's property.

The entrance and the common area/hallway were untidy, dusty, and piled up with unwanted mail from a few months ago. The staircases were used to store household cleaning items. While you can still use the stairs in this case, it was not a pleasant scene. Upon arrival, we realized the hot water boiler was not working. After staying in and spending more than 3 hours on the phone helping Tempstay, the property management company, and working with them to troubleshoot the issue, we could shower after our 7-hour flight. One item by another, we found out that the facilities listed on the "PRIME SPOT FOR ASCOT & WINDSOR" page are not working: 1) The water boiler was not working upon arrival. 2) The dishwasher has a strong sewage odor even after we ran it a couple of times. Dishes went out dirtier than before. 3) Television has no reception at all. The staff at Tempstay suggested we use our own cable and Netflix subscription account, so we missed all the football matches during our stay. The connection "dongle" arrived and worked the night we departed after we followed up many times. 4) The maintenance and cleaning of the apartment are questionable: broken window hinges, dusty carpet, and spider web under the sink. 5) There was a sewage leak at the ground level, and the odor got into our apartment the last night we were there. While it's difficult to document the sewage smell we experienced throughout the last night staying there, we have a video showing the leakage coming from the back of the two-story building: https://share.icloud.com/photos/054wRPBBpz_UIPnLdVLy0StPQ Throughout this terrible experience, we contacted Tampstay and Booking.com numerous times and sought a partial refund, but Tempstay has decided, out of £1,488 of our total expenses, they will compensate £100 They stopped responding when I disputed the case, and Booking.com can't do anything about it.

Location of the hotel and room space.

They took a security deposit of 50 GBP when it was not mentioned in the booking instructions. Also, I'm engaged in follow-ups for a refund of that security deposit. This is very frustrating.
