I'm so pleased I found this little gem! It is tucked away on a quiet road, clean, accessible and nicely decorated. Despite the small size it was better-equipped than most stays we've been to, with everything you could need in the kitchen and more. You wouldn't think its a basement flat, the bedroom has great light! The bed was a little soft for me (I like extra-firm) but my husband loved it, and I loved our little outside space too, where we sat in the mornings drinking our coffee and enjoying the fresh air before heading into town or to the beach. The beach is 3 mins walk away!! Almost on the main street as well so its close to everything. Property agency were really helpful and friendly as well. Really lovely find, and we will definitely book this again next time we visit :)

Nothing, it really is a great find :) We came by train so parking not an issue for us.

The location of the hotel is in the bicester centre so it is easy access to local pubs and restaurants. The downstairs looks wonderful and the hotel has potential but will need a lot of money spent on renovating.

Where to start. The hotel from the outside and downstairs looked lovely. However when checking in we were told there was no chef so no restaurant open and no breakfast available. We were then given our room keys. We had the loft room which to get to were 2 very tight spiral staircases. The carpet and walls were grubby, the carpet was loose fitting and a series trip hazard especially with how tight and steep the stairs were. The second set of stairs also has an extremely low roof that has no warning sign so when walking up the stairs dragging your suitcases I wasn't aware just how low the ceiling was so proceeded to hit my head with a lot of force as I stepped up the step the ceiling is only a couple of feet high so ended up with a pretty horific head ache. The patch on the ceiling I hit my head on was very obviously a section that is hit regular as the many layers of plaster were very loose and had sharp edges so I'm lucky I didn't cut my head with the force I hit. We then left to go find something to eat in the local area. ( I would highly recommend Monties burger bar). After a long day of meetings all we wanted was to return to our room and settle for the evening. However we then noticed just how poor quality the room was the radiator was an electric plug in that was just laid on the floor. The whole floor was uneven meaning so was all the furniture my water bottle just slide of the bedside table. We tried to look beyond this and were so exhausted we just needed to sleep. The next morning we were then shocked to find there was no hot water to the room whatsoever. We had another full day of a workshop to attend so this wasn't good enough. When checking out all of this was mentioned to reception who gave no apology and stated they have a problem with the hot water but it was fixed recently which obviously isn't the case. As at least 3 rooms our party booked had the same issue.
