Pleasantly surprised by my room having read some of the other reviews. I had a single room on the third floor and it was clean, with great kitchen facilities. No lift which wasn’t an issue for me, but could be for others. Marius on reception is brilliant 😊

My entrance/room card didn’t work when I got back late on the second night which was a worrying experience being stuck outside on my own. Tried the emergency number on the room card but it isn’t in service. There’s a contact number on the reception door (rooms have a separate entrance) which Marius answered and gave me a code to get in and lockbox inside for a spare key. As a solo female traveler I really wasn’t comfortable that this happened which is a shame as the rest of the stay was fine. Bed was too soft for me (definitely time for a new mattress) and you can hear some noise from people in the other rooms - bring earplugs.

It was in a nice setting and the grounds were well maintained. Rooms were clean and everything worked. Staff gave us extra tae and milk on request. Good to have swimming pool/gym on site.

Only one lift working and this seems to bergular occurrence. Pool and gym were at additional cost. Hotel decor was adequate. But needs makeover.

The dinner menu was disappointing, we were hoping for more of a fine dining experience with a better atmosphere. Breakfast was good, however a good coffee is important! Instant coffee from a jug was a real disappointment. It would have been nice to have some fruit for breakfast too.

Hum from plant room disturbed sleep. FOH staff helpful especially when message about take way breakfast wasn’t acted on. What we were supplied with didn’t equate to what we had paid for.
