The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

We had a really nice two night stay here last week. The staff were so friendly and bubbly, the beds were really comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We didn't eat dinner here so I cannot comment, but we had drinks both nights in the bar which was nicely decorated with plenty space. There is a lovely calm and welcoming atmosphere in the hotel and there's lots of seating around the hotel to chill in. I would definitely return to stay if I was to visit the area again. Thank you! 😃

Absolutely everything! Stunning hotel and spotlessly clean. You really can tell the staff put everything into their work and it shows as every interaction I seen is with genuine interest. After an amazing stay I left my bag, upon collection I decided to stay and spoke to the hotel manager who made me feel welcome when I asked to stay in the bar - taking her valuable time talking to me.

The hotel is lovely and quite quaint and the rooms are comfortable, very spacious and clean. The food was good, with large portions and the buffet breakfast had plenty of choice.

When we arrived there was some instructions as to dining bookings etc that had been made not being filtered through to the actual hotel booking system despite having proof that it had all been done. This was an error on the hotels part but it was treated like we had done something wrong and were inconveniencing them. However it was sorted out efficiently. Several of the dining staff were at times very abrupt and there seemed to be lots of things that ticked them off very easily and yet eventually everything would smooth its self out, with nothing really needing to be done by either them or ourselves. The service then would be very pleasant and amenable. So seemed a bit perplexing as to why there had been issues raised in the first place. There was a mix up with our room cards leading to mischarges which reception helped sort out although again, it felt like it was an inconvenience for them. After initially charging items to our room card this option stopped working and it just felt like too much hassle to sort out. The pub is actually not a pub but a restaurant and is not open after 10pm which was disappointing as we had planned on spending time there with several friends who were staying quite local and attending the same event as us. This is not a huge issue but if we had known that it was a restaurant only status we could have made other plans or choices that would have made our stay more enjoyable. As we only spent 3 nights in the area it curtailed our plans slightly. There were no huge issues with our stay but it would have been much more pleasant without all the little niggles.

location. The lovely view of the rubble from our window. Extremely friendly and helpful receptionist. .Plenty of car parking spaces .

the room allocated to us was 9 miles from the nearest lift and reception , and was a tatty and ill-equipped room. Fortunately ,when we complained , we were quickly given a much more comfortable room. The ‘ special requests ‘ from Booking.com didn’t seem to reach the hotel. The reason being something to do with the system! Probably better to call to arrange any. The hotel , on the whole seems to be in need of repair.
