Beautiful old house in lovely grounds. Has the potential to be amazing. The evening meal we had was very good - we had steak and some gorgeous wine. The staff made it though. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to ensure everything was good.

Maybe its just me but it was a bit tricky to find the apartment and faced some initial hick ups while operating the smart lock. However both issues where swiftly sorted with the help of the owner.

Although being honest the decor is pretty tired, the bed was comfortable, and the attitude and helpfulness of the staff made it into a good stay. I stayed in the basement room which has a separate shower bathroom, but that worked out ok
