Venice is an amazing city to Visit, It's really easy to get around using Public Transport. It is very hot and busy in August, so avoid those times if you can. Murano and Burano are easy to visit but public transport. Murano is where the glass is made and Burano is a really pretty island with coloured building and resturants. There are a few main atractions people visit. But just wandering around and seeing where you end up is great. There are loads of non-touristy resturants. Easy to find.If you head out away from the main areas. Venice always welcomes with its beauty, history and people. Summer is crowded and hot/humid, but the vibe among tourists soaking Venice’s beauty and charm is fun. We enjoyed the food (plus lotsa gelato), The Doge Palace, gondola ride, trips to Murano and Burano. Transportation was really easy too. We sense gratefulness on both sides, the visitor and host.
