This hotel was really nice, I loved the vintage decor and the staff were super friendly. I would stay here again based on the interior alone. The place had a very cozy atmosphere to it.

FAQs about hotels in Birmingham

First-class Shopping, Culture and Sports

The UK's 2nd largest city, Birmingham is one of its top cultural centers. Well-known for its M6 Spaghetti Junction interchange, it's also a surprisingly green city with lots of open spaces.

Most city center hotels in Birmingham are near New Street Station. To the east is the futuristic architecture of the new Bull Ring shopping center, and behind that is Digbeth Bus Station. To the west is Victoria Square, home of the town hall and a German Christmas Market.

The Mailbox is one of the newest additions to the Birmingham shopping scene, and behind it is one of the canals converging on the Gas Street Basin. By one canal are the ICC (International Convention Center) and the NIA (National Indoor Arena), both venues that host major events.

Just across the street is Brindleyplace, a canal-front complex of restaurants, bars and hotels near Broad Street – the main nightlife area. It is popular with students at nearby Birmingham University, whose clock tower is modeled on the one in Siena. Just south in Bournville is Cadbury World, and there are several hotels on Hagley Road to the north, which are available on Booking.com.

The city is also known for sports – Aston Villa and Birmingham City are the top soccer clubs, while Edgbaston Cricket Ground hosts international matches. Other Birmingham attractions include Hockley’s Jewellery Quarter and the NEC arena by Birmingham International Airport.

    Scam‼️‼️‼️ ‼️

Scam‼️‼️‼️ ‼️Pls do not book this place as they are Scammers… RUN RUN … My WORST experience ever, I booked late night of 14th August for a night and on transit next day I was told, I must deposit £250 as a policy before check in. I was in transit when I saw it this morning then I reached out that I don’t have that to transfer but my card details. They declined that I must pay it before checkin , I didn’t read the policy but asked they allow me on mercy. YET NO!! Then not to loose my money made calls and got £250, for me to transfer into the account my bank flagged that details not matching, I reached out for correct details . Guess, WHAT, I was told that I had till 11am to pay it and I’ve lost my booking. At about 3pm that I’ve not checked in. There line on voicemail. I heard of this but shocked it could happen on booking.com … RUN cos they are Scammers

Didn't like the alley way we had to go down on our way to the city centre between the red cage and the Malmaison hotel. It was dark and smelly. Some really nice cakes in Grand Central Station Lola's.

Birmingham is a busy, multi-cultural city but doesn't feel overcrowded. The area round Victoria Square and Centenary Square was impressive as was the Library building. This area was generally clean and tidy. The City Gardens is a peaceful oasis close to the library, museum and Symphony Hall. The Botanical Gardens are worth a visit via tram, bus or foot, although the tram driver didn't know which was the right stop! Canal-side walks are interesting, as is the Jewelry Quarter.

Very bust but to be expected, the memorials to Ozzy were exceptionally busy, but no problems. City has done loads of work to improve its reputation and image, what a positive difference since our last visit over 10 years ago. Well done Birmingham

We were there for and event do did not see much of it. City centre has a clean air charge and there are many 20mph zones. Edgbaston is a beautiful suburban area take in the nearby Botanic Garden as well as the one at even closer by zwimbirne House...sighnifivan discount in tickets booked via hotel.

We were there for the UK Athletics meeting.

We were there for the UK Athletics meeting. A great weekend. However, it was clear for all to see that the town and suburbs are in desperate need of road-sweeping, litter collection etc. I know there is an on-going strike but it appears that the whole area has just given up caring. Perry Hall Park was beautiful.

The location of the hotel was perfect, right on Broad Street in amongst all the action! Staff were efficient, room was clean and comfy. The bathroom was fully stocked with essential toiletries which was great, so didn’t have to bring shower gel, shampoo etc. air con worked brilliantly, which isn’t always the case. The price was really reasonable for a city centre hotel also with unlimited breakfast included. Breakfast was good, very busy but well managed.

Atmosphere is lovely. Felt very safe. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Complimentary swimming pool is a nice touch. Dinner is beautiful and very well presented. Very posh decor.
