The property is brand new renovated apartment. 6 minutes walk from a metro station. We had an issue with the water heater and the owner send someone to repair it right away.

Huge room, you get an entire floor. Air conditioner was on a blaring when we got there which was great. Very very close to Nanko Broadway, which has everything we needed. Close to train. Although we didn’t use anything, they provide toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, ear plugs and some snacks. Loved the water bottle filing station, water tasted good, not sure if it was actually filtered. Also had a huge TV which was great. Shower was small but very clean.

The location was perfect, the design, large space, and decor of the room were fantastic, the A/C worked great, the beds were comfortable, the cleanliness was exceptional, and the appliances worked great. The converter power strip was very helpful between the beds.

Great place on all levels and felt very much like living like a true local in an apartment feeling. Very cool neighborhood as well, only a few minutes from major destinations yet you are in a quiet residential area. One must have some patience to figure out the Japanese appliances and controls in the rooms but this would be the same for any apartment.

Coffee shop was excellent. Great blends, and a nice selection of light breakfast options. The bar is open until midnight, and very friendly. Much closer and an easier run with luggage from the Odakyu local station at Higashi-Kitazawa, but there is more going on and more frequent service from the Shimokiazawa main station, plus direct access to Shibuya via the Inokashira line. Turntable in each room and a wide selection of vinyl records to borrow is a nice touch.

    Kichijoji is a great area in the western suburbs of Tokyo.

    Kichijoji is a great area in the western suburbs of Tokyo. We explored the beautiful Inokashira Park and other points further west such as Chofu and Koganei. We ate at a great izakaya that specialises in squid called Totomaro. There's plenty of shopping, including Don Quijote and Yuzawaya. Kichijoji is on the Chuo line which connects with Shinjuku and Tokyo stations. It's also really well serviced with buses.
