Staff super friendly and responsive to requests. Antonis especially helpful and warm. Room very cozy and inviting. Very comfortable bed and space. Good amenities including bikes to borrow no fee and close to the water and bike paths. Great 30’ sauna experience included each day. Close to shops, restaurants and bus stops. The shower was amazing!!! Delectable breakfast included with large selection for all tastes.

The place it self is magical , and the chalet is super beautiful near to the lake , you can see the aurora lights from there , the sauna was amazing and authentic , and dont miss the dinner , super tasty.     Dinner - The hotel provided a variety of meats including salmon, herring, and lamb. We don't eat beef, so it was such a pleasure to have other kinds of meat :). Breakfast - The breakfast variety is good enough, bread, boiled eggs, herrings, fresh pears - are good for us. Room - so like as it was advertised, half igloo with clear glass. We enjoyed the view of Pines at day and enjoy the stars at nights. The room had enough electricity outputs for our appliances. The wifi was good, once connected it stayed. What we liked the most was we saw the NORTHERN LIGHTS at our first night!! And it was more than 40 minutes. The hotel provided us the application for Northern lights alert and it worked so precisely.

    From airport transfer to check-in, it was smooth. The room is perfectly located near the reception and the restaurant. Staff were helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean, and they provided us with fresh, laundered towels. Housekeeping will come every day asking if you need anything. Arranging for your activities is easy, but I would recommend booking it online via their website. The breakfast buffet was really good and dinner every night is a different menu. I am definitely recommending this resort and will be coming back for sure!

    1. The property is near the airport. 2. Free parking space was provided. 3. The room given to us was clean and affordable. Facilities inside the room like sauna, heaters were superb. 4. Check in and check out was smooth. 5. The breakfast was a feast. It was so good. Plus points as well for the free pool access although we weren’t able to avail of this. They have other facilities as well with discounts given.

    Had the most amazing stay at one of these cottages. So peaceful in the frozen landscape, and the fireplace and sauna were the perfect additions to enjoying a cozy cabin day! Was lucky enough to see the most amazing northern lights dancing over the cottage! And the hosts very kindly picked me up and dropped me off at bus station. My highlight of my time in Finland!

    Exceptional experience sleeping under the dancing aurora lights in a Glass Igloo. Staff was more than friendly and helped in any case. Location is a bid off but due to the frequent shuttle service offered by the hotel, that’s not a big deal. Breakfast and Dinner was perfect - nice variations and tasty. All in all one of the best hotels I’ve been so far!

    Summer trip to Rovaniemi: Lapland was in a heat wave which held us back a bit as it was rather humid. We enjoyed Arktikum very much, went swimming in the river, walked in the Arctic Gardens and explored the town centre. We planned some hiking but it was hotter than we expected. At end of July, sunset around midnight for only a short time, which is cool.

    Saariselka is a wonderland in winter.

    Saariselka is a wonderland in winter. You can easily get all the required things such as food from K-market. There are lots of activities you can do in Saariselka such as skiing, snowshoeing, Ice Karting, bowling, Aurora Hunting tours, etc. You can easily reach here from Rovaniemi City by using public bus. There is a Ski bus that runs between Saariselka village and Saarselka Ski resort. I did my beginner ski lesson here. It was great. I spent my Christmas holidays here and most things are available to do. I did my skiing on Christmas day itself.

    We went at end of March, still plenty of snow and the lake is completely frozen but temperatures around 0. Was ideal for the kids who spent days in the snow! We saw the northern lights (had to stay up till 2am for a very lucky gap in the clouds but was worth it). The Sami museum there is excellent and we did some guided tours, was fascinating to see the Sami culture and way of life past and present.

It is a popular destination for winter activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing.     Small town by the sea.

    Small town by the sea. The icebreaker, SAMPO, is the attraction of the town. If you are not interested in sailing in the iced sea,walking on the iced sea and floating in the sea, you needn't come here. I bought some pretty clothes in a small shop in Kemi. How happy!

    We erre here in winter.

    We erre here in winter. We made 2 tours from here and from Rovianemi. One is Aurora Borealis and the other one is a tours tó the frozen waterfalls. We really loved that there was snow here, the landscape was white, and alsó the trees.

    I do ski (downhill) but would not ski in Jan/early Feb in Levi because of the poor light. However it is a great village to visit and not ski if you like winter walking or other snow based activities. The restaurants are very good and characterful if you choose wisely.

    Ivalo itself was cute.

    Ivalo itself was cute. Not too touristy, much quieter than places close by and everyone so friendly with a well stocked supermarket. Not too many places to eat but it depends what you’re looking for. As a young family, it was perfect for us!

    Enontekiö is a large area in north east Finland, and it is mostly void of people, which is excellent. There are a few villages, like Hetta, commonly called Enontekiö, where you can find everything you need. Enontekiö boasts many of the most dramatic sceneries in Finland, like Saana and Halti fells, in the 'arm' (Käsivarsi), and palsasuot (permafrost-hill mires). It's excellent for hiking, berry- and mushroom-picking, and visiting one or more of the many national parks and Sami sacred places at hand. In Hetta, we stayed at Ounasloma for the 4th time. It is a family-owned holiday cottage business, which provides actual fully-furnished houses with sauna, and the lakeshore is just next door, boats and bikes are at disposal. We had our own food, but one evening we grabbed burgers and chips from the local grillikiosi (opposite k supermarket and alko), and not only was the lady very friendly, but the kioski sells bare necessities and the burgers are huge and excellent. I only wait to go back, discover more of the nature around, and maybe finally climb the Saana fell, which was foggy (and therefore very dangerous) when we were there.

    We were in Muonio in the summer time.

    We were in Muonio in the summer time. It was difficult to rent a boat for fishing. There are little tourism activities in the summer. After 5 nights with fishing, riding a bike and a small hiking, we had explored the area. I think, Muonio is much more interesting to visit in winter time.
