Great location in the historic center of Naples. The room we stayed in was well set up for longer stays, as it has a small kitchen and a lot of functional storage space. The atrium area was a pleasant place to have a drink or just hang out.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Naples My wife and I had a truly wonderful stay at this charming little hotel in Naples. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, with everything you need just a short walk away. We stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius… breathtaking. The hotel has only eight rooms, which gives it a cozy, boutique feel, like a little jewelry box. The entire staff was attentive, kind, and highly professional. We especially enjoyed chatting with Francesca, who took the time to share more about the area with us. Her warmth and attention made us feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious and complete — we never felt like anything was missing. As for food outside the hotel, there are so many great places nearby, especially in the Borgo Marinario area, where we had fantastic meals beyond just the (already amazing) pizza. If I had to mention one small downside, it would be the elevator — it’s quite small and a bit slow. But honestly, everything else was so exceptional that it hardly mattered. We would absolutely stay here again — and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Naples!

Budget friendly hotel located just next to the central station. I didn’t expect variety of food for the breakfast and the taste was good. I like design of the room; very modern and luxurious design. Wifi is perfect. Shower is also perfect. The room size was bigger than I thought. All staff are friendly.

FAQs about hotels in Naples

Vibrancy, Vespas, Vesuvius

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and cable cars. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.

At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.

While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of tunnels you can visit and even a Graeco-Roman theater which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!

Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artifacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.

As for accommodations, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city center apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.

We stayed 24 hours after 7 days in Sorrento, which we love. Very dirty city, we had read reviews saying so but didn’t expect such litter ridden streets. And just a general weird dirty smell. Local folk not so welcoming. Would not return to visit as do little to see just airport to Amalfi coast.

Naples was our base. One day we did Pompeii tour. Watch out for thieves on the Pompeii train, we were targeted by 2 guys but luckily managed with help of others. Next day we bought NLG ferry Tour1 to Amalfi and Positano. good value with 3 hrs in Amalfi and 2 hrs in Positano to explore. Third day we visited mueum Archeologico to see close up Pompeii treasures close up.

Too much litter (resulting in too many rats and cockroaches). Too much vandalism. Too many homeless people and beggars. Not enough done to showcase the things that tourists would like to see such as fountains and statues (many were covered up as though they were being worked on or renovated). Naples generally appears very neglected. However, a more affordable base for visiting Pompei, Amalfi, Positano & Sorrento by train. In saying that, the train is always PACKED with people so more trains would be better and they are not very fast ☹️

My family is originally from the Campania region and emmigrated from the port of Naples in 1903. None of our ancestors talked about Italy in a positive way because they left out of poverty. But for us, more than 100 years later, Naples was amazing and fun. I was surpised at the beautiful architecture and variety of neighborhoods. The museums were beautiful and there was so much too see. Naples Underground, Sansevero Church, the church of Nuovo Gesu - and more. The Archeology Museum, Napulitanata, and all the historic areas, plus the Lungomare, the Funicular. Mt. Vesuvious in view. We felt very safe. Taxi drivers were friendly and helpful, on the meter. The metro worked on schedule. And the food was great. We were here for 5 days and could have spent more time just wandering around and enjoying the lively fun loving atmosphere.

I have stayed in Naples a few times and always enjoyed myself. The central areas Centro Storico Quartieri Spagnoli are lively vibrant areas where the locals very much live life on the street. One of the greatest joys in Naples is wandering through these areas often completely lost but always finding interesting sights. Public transport in Naples is pretty good with the metro linking key areas. Its a great base for exploring historical sights in the area with both Pompei and Herculaneum easily reached by train. If you have not been here before I would recommend 4/5 days

Although we met the nicest people in Naples, we were regretful of staying there for seven days as it felt too long. The traffic is chaotic and dangerous, with no real system for crossing the road as pedestrians that felt safe a lot of the city seems uncared for. Since I mean objective of our holiday was to visit the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, and to see a Sylvius and Sorrento, we felt we would’ve wanted to have stayed in Sorrento, which was immeasurably more beautiful and pleasant to walk-through the Naples. The most beautiful part of our trip to the city was seen when we took the hop on hop off bus which went along the coastal area to the north. This is where most of the richer people come, and there are some very beautiful villas and some breathtaking views. If you have the money, that is where you should stay in Naples.
