My impression of Rome was very positive—there was so much to see and far too little time to take it all in. I especially loved how the evenings cooled after the hot days, making it perfect for strolling. We stayed in Trastevere, which was full of great eating spots, charming streets, and attractions we could walk to. And yes—the gelato was amazing. If you plan to explore on foot, bring a water bottle; the city has plenty of public fountains with safe, drinkable water, so there’s no need to buy bottled water. Uber is pricey, but getting around is easy. Depending on your hotel location, you can walk to many attractions or take the bus. We used Google Maps for both walking and public transport—just enter your destination, choose the bus option, filter by your preferred mode (bus or train), and you’ll see the stop location and bus number. You can pay directly on the bus with a credit card. Be aware that many attractions are crowded, and you should be prepared to stand in line unless you make early reservations. If possible, hire a tour guide—you’ll skip some of the wait and gain valuable history and background information that truly enriches the experience. We were also impressed by how clean the city was, especially considering the large number of daily tourists. Rome left us with wonderful memories and a desire to return.

    Rome is eternal.

Rome is eternal. It doesn't need my recommendation to be visited — all roads already lead to it. Incredibly beautiful, it breathes history at every corner. However, in August, the heat is intense and the city is crowded. The scarcity of trees makes the sun even more present, and what saves us are the countless fresh water fountains scattered throughout the streets. Every corner and every experience is worth it, but perhaps this certainty of being eternally desired means that locals don't always feel the need to win over visitors with the same dedication seen in less famous destinations.

I went for 3 nights and perhaps needed another night or 2 see everything. I did expect better food though. The city is more than beautiful and probably one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Gelato Gelato Gelato! Food though is not as I expected. There are better PIzzas and Pastas in other cities in Italy and in SPAIN.

Rome is an amazing city for it's history and beauty! I loved seeing the ancient sites at the Colosseum and Vatican, plus the many beautiful churches. The food is exceptional, but I was getting tired of a heavy carb diet everyday. Not many vegetable options to be found, except the odd salad. Huge portion sizes too. Our visit coincided with the Catholic Jubilee, which meant thousands of Catholic youth all over, but they were all so happy that the atmosphere always felt happy. Very little street disorder or homelessness seen. I felt safe on every single small street or alley.

There is a mix , some local peoples are really dedicated to their job but many others are looking just for money with less respect for tourists ! Regarding the entrance to some archaeological sites the organisers don't offer a full access to all parts if you buy tickets locally , only online without advice! There are local peoples who are trying to sell you unofficial tickets especially to entry Vatican Museum and my feeling is that they are "protected" by police !

It's a open air museum, the food is in expensive and excellent. It really isn't great for kids . It's actually cheaper to fly here stay a week and eat like a king than going to Disney World

Very nice place located near Rome Termini. It was the 4th property we stayed in while travelling through Italy and one of the best ones. Giorgio arranged for a late check-in for us as we arrived late and a self check-out, he was available online for any questions we had. It took us 15-20 mins to get to the historical Rome center. The place is really big and comfortable, there are 2 rooms - a living room with kitchenette and a spacious bedroom. The place is very stylish and well-equipped. We really enjoyed our stay!

The room was simply gorgeous - soo spacious exceptionally clean and truly 5 stars! It was luxury and the bed the best we had across our 4 weeks in Italy! The location was good - easy to get busses everywhere or walk! The suites are super close to many beautiful restaurants and the lady that welcomed us was delightful. We would stay here again in a heart beat! Oh and the view from our room across Rome was perfect!

This hotel exceeded our expectations for Rome. We stayed in 12 hotels/farmstays over 4 weeks for our European trip (Holland, Italy, Paris) and this was one was the absolute best value. The bed was in the top 3, the room was very spacious for a major city hotel and the bathtub would have been amazing if it wasn't 36 degrees out. I was tempted to have an ice bath but I had no access to ice.

The staff were all amazing, so friendly, pleasant, welcoming and helpful. We’ve stayed in many hotels in Italy but here the staff were head and shoulders above all the rest ☺️ The hotel itself was lovely too, clean, comfortable and super location, right beside the Spanish Steps! We’ll definitely stay here again when back in Rome.

The breakfast was amazing, after staying in 3 hotels previously to arriving at this one in Italy the breakfast exceeded all the other hotels. The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was to much bother, they all spoke English. Will definitely stay here again next time in Rome.
