This was our first visit in Madrid. We were positively surprised. The city is quite green with several parks (don't miss Retiro!). The great art museums are really worth seeing. And the food! Great tapas places (just grab a table and chairs where you can) and "finer" restaurants (you often need a reservation) all over.
We were in Madrid in late May, most days the temperature was close to 30 C, which was still ok. But the summer months, maybe not for us.

The market was the best on Sunday, we went for the football, the shopping was great too, huge Primark , great to get around on the metro, and cheap. Good day trips to Toledo, good food, nothing to avoid we loved all of it, lots of walking tours from Gran via. We want to return as there is too much to see, and we ran out of time.

Madrid is a great city with so much to do.It is so easy to get around Madrid and I loved the hop on and hop off rides that took me through the old and new cities.Unfortunately,I could not take a tour around Santiago Bernabau because it was shut for repairs. Also, the location I stayed in Granvia was very central with so many options of restaurants.

Madrid is a great city that offers everything I like to have on my trips: a lot of history, art and excellent food! The metro is very easy to understand, so you'll get the orientation in the city very quickly. If you have enough time, I strongly recommend visitning Toledo - the city is small, but unbelievably beautiful :-)

Malasanas is really good neighbourhood for eating and bars, a bit more edgy and lively than the more touristy areas but still central, accessible and safe. Lots of squares hidden away from the main roads and some great Galician restaurants on Calle Valverde and Calle Fuencarral as well as traditional tapas bars. among the sights, the Parque Retiro is fantastic especially the boating lake and Crystal Palace and there are several great museums around it - Prado, the excellent Reina Sophia modern art gallery (with Picasso's Guernica), the Archeological Museum. Also enjoyed the Plaza Oriente and Royal Palace gardens

Whilst the hotel was nice that room was not due to the lack of natural light and fresh air.
As a traveller who was at the end of a 5 week vacation and travelled many time zones unfortunately the hotel Netflix was not working and not option to use other platforms.
Hostal Met Madrid has a great location in between the Plaza Major, the Mercado San Miguel and the Ooera/Teatro Real. Most main tourist destinations in the city centre are in east walking distance. The hotel itself comprises the second floor of a large old apartment building. Rooms are a good size with en-suite bathrooms, fridge and mini-safe. We were also treated to some cava left in our room. Rooms were clean and having air conditioning really helped for a July visit. The price was good for the facilities and location.
Without a doubt, one of the best places I have every stayed at. The location is AMAZING, the view from my room was unbelievable (Spain's National Library), the room had everything I needed (perfect wifi, air conditioner, good space, safety security box, kitchen, all amenities - they even gave me a coffee machine when I asked for one). the front desk/reception was available 24/7 and helped me with everything I needed. Truly, exceeded my expectations and will definitely stay again when I go back to Madrid!
You have to be ready for what awaits you once you enter the building because you have to take an elevator for just one floor and upon leaving it two flight of stairs and you are at a hotel, a hidden gem on the Gran Vía
The hotel has one of the largest room I have seen in a hotel, all come with a kitchenette, a big closet and a huge bathroom
The hotel is well taken care of, very clean, smells great and the staff is fantastic, remember you are in Spain.
I’m planning to go back in March 2025
My first time in Madrid and I really like the location. its very close to the trains and it’s on the main heart of Spain 🇪🇸 closest to Gran vía which is central Madrid one of the streets with the most nightlife and it is said that to be the street that never sleeps. if you want to party ( This is the real hostel party) and if you want to rest also great place to stay. I REALLY LOVE IT and high recommend this hostel :)
The staff here is amazing. They really go the extra mile for all of their guests. Silvia was especially helpful and kind….. she also makes the best tinto de verrano anywhere in Spain.
This place is clean, bright & friendly. It offers dining on a roof patio, great WiFi, as well as daytime tours of Madrid and evening bar tours.
I have stayed here several times when I’ve been in Madrid & highly recommend The Hat.
The hotel is so close to everything train station, tourist destination, mercado de san miguel and a grocery near by, the staffs are so helpful, friendly and accommodating, breakfast is excellent foods are so good, rooms are so clean . If i go back there i will stay again in your hotel, i will recommend this to my friends and those who planned to go Madrid its in the city centre.
The hotel was very cleaned and the overall look and feel was great. The rooftop was a plus especially for summer days, great DJ.
Location is the best close to all shops in Gran Via and great center point to visiit any place in Madrid. Callao Metro station is only steps away and recently opened Gran Via metro station is also very close.
Great boutique Hotel , excellent location near shops , Museums , and Madrid’s historic Center , only 15 minutes from Airport , very impressed with personalized attention to guests , By Reception and Service staff , and specially Breakfast Restaurant ( Great buffet and hot options to order menu ) Shoutout to Fernando !! the best !
Everything about the hotel is exceptional. Located near metro station line number 8( pink line) which takes you to the city centre. Located near airport. 24 hours reception is the best thing. Another thing is the cleanliness and freshness in the room. Hotel arranged for a taxi for early morning flight
The suite was very nice, bathroom spacious *bath and separate shower" bed was very good. Staff is efficient and professional as you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Bus to Madrid City Centre around the corner (200m) 30 minutes to city centre. 20 min by taxi to Madrid Airport.
The hotel was convenient for the airport. We were only there for one night before driving to the north of Spain. It was a bit far from central Madrid for us to go in for the evening for a couple of hours. Good breakfast, nice pool which we used, comfortable room.
Cheap price in city center, the hotel has best location in madrid, Gran via. Everything is close the hotel. Hotel has a kitchen and the kitchen has microwave, dishwasher, some plates and hot water for coffee or tea. My room very hot and comfortable.
The hotel is based very central at Gran Via. A good and various breakfast is offered. But the best part is the rooftop bar and pool, at the city centre but still calm enough to relax during the day - or the night.
The location was fabulous, near Plaza Mayor. We spent our last night in Spain here and the hotel arranged for us to eat the exceptional breakfast early so we could leave for the airport.
We loved how this hotel was in the center of town and yet on a quiet street. The staff was helpful and the room was perfect for us. We will be staying here again next time we're in Spain.
The variety of food provided in the continental buffet.
The location of the hotel is excellent in Madrid city centre.
The room was spotless and the Wi-Fi was excellent.
I enjoyed my staying there, the hotel crow completely understand and expect the needs of me and my family. Sure it is one of my best stays in Spain.
Thanks to them all.
