The location of the hotel is good so every main attraction is easily reachable by foot. The railway station is also very close, which is convenient. The breakfast is diverse in both sweet and savoury options. You can even find some typical Finnish pastries to try. The room was not too big, but it was very clean. You can leave your luggage in a locked room if you have a later flight and want to explore the city without carrying your suitcase everywhere. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a bit of comfort for a good price, this hotel is the place.

FAQs about hotels in Helsinki

Nordic Daughter of the Baltic

Scratch beneath the small-town surface of Helsinki and you will find a cosmopolitan metropolis buzzing with a lively attitude and plenty of excitement. The relatively short-lived summer offers the best chance to appreciate the outdoors and sit on one of the popular café terraces, or even hit the Hietaniemi Beach, all of which can be enjoyed during the 20 hours of daylight.

Strolling around the streets of Helsinki will reveal an Empire-style of architecture, comparable to St. Petersburg. The greatest example of this is the green-domed Lutheran Cathedral which rises proudly out of the center of Senate Square.

From here the main shopping street of Aleksanterinkatu, affectionately known as Aleksi, runs towards Mannerheimintie and contains the largest department store in Scandanavia, called Stockmann. The up-market boulevard of Esplanadi runs alongside and is packed with exclusive boutiques.

Lovers of Nordic design will be thrilled by the Design Museum and the Ateneum Art Museum. Nature is in abundance on the beautiful archipelago which lies along the coast. A must-see is the Baltic fortress of Suomenlinna, where you just might forget you’re in a big city.

Whether you head to a sauna or amusement park when you disembark from Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport, with over 65 hotels, apartments and hostels, Booking.com has the perfect place for your Scandinavian stay.

Helsinki is a 'quiet' big city. Wonderful shops, restaurants, sights on the Bay of Finland. Don't miss a visit to the Regatta Cafe or the Stone Church. Ride a bike along the miles of seawall/coastline bike paths. Visit the elegant Stockman store and the Suomenlinna historical island, or take the beautiful day ferry trip to the charming historic old town of Tallin, Estonia.

Fot the first time I visited Helsinki in 2015 and I fell in love with the city so much that in 2025 was my 4 visit already. The city offers everything, beautiful architecture, nature just around the corner, great food and pleanty of things to do. Also, public transport is amazing and you can easily move around the city. I highly recommend visiting Helsinki.

Everything for nice city break. Very punktional transportation (airlines, trams, buses, metro) with nice people that are always availabe to give information. Hard to find good and traditional Finnish food, except salmon soup. Not so clean as we expected. Helsinki suburb nature is charming.

Helsinki is very easy to get around, by offering great rail and bus connections, as well as featuring expansive bicycle and pedestrian routes. It is relatively flat, so walking or cycling across the city are not an issue. It has a great mix of historic and modern buildings, with beaches, parks and other public spaces for a variety of activities. Worth visiting and spending a few days there!

I had never thought about visiting Helsinki and was pleasantly surprised. I loved the harbour, culture and friendliness of the people. The green areas of the city were beautiful as was the food and the markets. We ate a various places including the hotel where we stayed and the market stalls. We also took a hop on hop off bus that gave us two days for the price of one and it got us to all areas in Helsinki and was so much cheaper than getting a taxi and also had the added benefit of giving us some background and history of the sites and areas we visited.

    A marvellous old city.

A marvellous old city. History, buildings, marina, shopping. It seems expensive to me. Usual food and taxis are expensive, and then we found LIDL in the city. We took a day cruise across to Tallinn. There are multiple cruise line options. Old Tallinn is worth the trip. A free walking tour (but tips suggested) is a must. Take a tram or train rather than a taxi. Get out of the main part of the city if you can - even just a few kilometres walk or tram ride is enough - there are some great areas with different food options and things to see.

Many facilities like the supermarket downstairs, luggage rooms, fully equiped kitchen and even if you check-out you can still use the commom areas. My overal experience was very good. Some could say it is a little to far from the city center, but it is next to the hippest part of the town, where there are many bars, restaurants, very often cheaper than in the city center.

Very good location. Close to the city center. Shops and restaurants are right in front of the house. If you come by boat from Estonia, the hotel is a 25-minute walk away. Check-in is automatic - with a code, you get to the hotel and your room, no need for a card and check-in. Very convenient.
