Shops, food and sightseeing are highlights. Book everything before you go or you won’t get in particularly Ann Franks house etc. Make sure you do a canal trip and cheese tasting - highly recommended. Felt very safe despite the reputation Amsterdam has for relaxed laws and never felt uncomfortable. So much to see and do - it’s a lovely city. Driving from Airport to Hotel was unbelievably long due to local roads not being available to tourists in rental cars. It took over 2 hours to get the Radisson Blu from Airport due to idiotic elimination of the ability to travel by car in and around Amsterdam.
