Arribas Sintra Hotel, hotel in Sintra

The westernmost hotel in Europe, located on the magnificent coast of Sintra, right on Praia Grande.

We booked one of the Superior rooms (which are in the higher levels of the hotel i.e. better view) and it did not disappoint. The view was amazing, and the sound of the waves was very relaxing. My parents had called ahead to ask if they could leave a note and a bottle of wine for our honeymoon, and they had that out for us when we got to the room. The breakfast had a lot of options and was very tasty.

A nice place to visit but full of tourists. The nature around is beautiful and you can visit some of the attractions but expect a lot of people. You can find anything from beaches to forests, all in a 15-minute drive. The roads are narrow and it's hard to park.

There are many historical places in Sintra that can be reached on foot. if you go to the right of the historical museum you can find a small restaurant on the balcony where they bake bread in a wood-fired oven. unfortunately I forgot the name, but you can see the sign. Very charming. And visit Long Beach and the restaurant near the rock and try octopus on the grill. Very recommended.

The roads are very tight, the crowds of visitors are intense and some of the locals working in local shops/restaurants are very rude and completely over having to deal with tourists. However, the views are amazing and the Moorish Castle was very cool. Difficult place to travel but worth it!

Sintra was a lovely town but I like Aveiro better especially the hotel we stayed in. The hike to the palace is not that hard. Proper hiking shoes and clothes should be worn. It is not a stroll through a park. You will be climbing up and down narrow stairs. Bring water. The palace is beautiful!.

Very touristy and difficult to manage with a car. Quite pricy. Good food at Tascantiga though. Pena palace was too busy to enjoy properly though the Moorish castle was great. Shame didn't have enough time to visit Quinta da Regaleira.

really beautiful city. if you have time, you can spend up to 5 days with enough interesting sightseeing to visit. the traffic is heavy so I recommend to take buses or walking because uber/bolts can take too long to arrive where you are. the best was a hiking from Sinta Palace to the historical center, really nice views

The location was incredible, overlooking cliffs to the left and the crashing waves of the Atlantic to the right. This was our first stop to get over jet lag after landing in Lisbon and we were totally blown away. Very funky yet comfortable apartment right near a fantastic local fish restaurant (best meal i had in 18 days in Portugal) and a pastry stand for breakfast. Very friendly host, fixed a plumbing problem promptly. We were more than satisfied in all respects.

Location was central to town while also being on a side street so it was much quieter. Super cozy bed which was cleaned everyday. Felt more like a hotel then a hostel, which is a plus to me:) lots of amenities, jazz music outside for dinner which was the perfect level of noise. Simple but convenient breakfast and knowledgeable staff. truly one of our best stays in Portugal thus far!

This hotel exemplifies an excellent boutique hotel. You'll be staying in a literal restored palace, with ties to the area and a vibe to match the charm of Sintra. The attentive staff, wine and cheese evenings, live music, and family of peacocks all add to that charm. The grounds are large and interesting, with gardens, a greenhouse, trails, sitting areas, etc.

Continental breakfast is included at their restaurant a block away. We found their restaurant upon leaving the train station (didn't realize it was affiliated with the hotel) and the breakfast was excellent - probably the best while in Portugal. The two bedroom duplex apartment had a large patio with stunning views of Sintra - absolutely beautiful views.

Gorgeous property. Great staff. Andres is a most wonderful host and is always helpful. The atmosphere and views are wonderful. For me this hotel was the best part of my Sintra stay. Sintra, beautiful as it is, is full of tourists and crowded. Quinta Verde is a relief from all that.

I was given a heater. I was given anything I needed for my comfort. The best thing was the good, peaceful, safe feeling I had when I was there. No other place offered that intangible service as I drive to a new place every day fir a week in Portugal.
