Extremely nice people, Canadians. Recent immigrants can do a lot better in customer service and friendliness, they should be happy to live in such a great country, but many (esp. from Eastern European and Asian) fail, because not fully canadianized. Fortunately, there are exceptions, like the Chinese Scotiabank bank manager on Dundas and Spadina. He was efficient, helpfull, understanding and effective. Toronto was a wonderful city to visit. We did a Hop-on Hop-off tour to see major landmarks in the city. We did a day trip to Niagara Falls and ate dinner at the top of the Sheraton with a wonderful view. We ate dinner at the top of the CN Tower. Interesting destinations, diverse population, courteous drivers, and gorgeous architecture. We enjoyed the hop-on-Hop-off bus to provide an overview. The downtown is very walkable. Could use a night light or small lamp in the room. Subway stations need an escalator or ramps to get to subway without having to carry heavy luggage up and down stairs. Walking was ok.
