We felt warmly welcomed at check-in, with excellent service right from the start. The waterfront views from our room were stunning — we could see surfers riding waves and boats gliding across the sea just yards away. The hotel also has great shops inside, making it convenient and enjoyable to explore.

Liked everything in this hotel! Staff are pleasant and always smiling, our room is super clean, and the swimming pool is super clean as well that the water is so clear! Location is near the waikiki beach and the Royal Hawaiian Center. Also liked that across the hotel is a public access to the beach which is not very crowded. We appreciated that they allow access to the washroom and on the eight floor even after we checked out while we are waiting for our flight. Hotel has luggage storage service too!

The location of the hotel is amazing, right on the shopping strip and minutes walk to the Waikiki beach. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, we had a double for a family of two adults and two kids, balcony with partial sea view. The pool area is nice but gets very busy. The hotel offered complimentary sunrise yoga by the pool which was a lovely experience. Laundry room was an added bonus. The hotel shop was fully stocked with all sorts of necessities. Would definitely recommend staying here! A note of appreciation for the housekeeper in charge of our floor, Zhi Yi, for her hospitality, made our stay memorable!

Honolulu is definitely my “Happy place”.

Honolulu is definitely my “Happy place”. We have been fortunate enough to visit 27 times over the years. So many places to eat. Love just getting on The Bus and exploring. Must have a day at the outlets. A Mai Tai catamaran cruise is a must.

It's a beautiful place.

It's a beautiful place. The people, food, sights, nature, entertainment, tours. Get out of Waikiki, even though it's really fun there. Get on a tour bus or rent a car and go to North Shore. I liked the Circle Island tour. DO the Polynesian Cultural Center. Do the entire day including the luau and the Breath of Life show. What a fabulous day. If you like TIKI Bars, make a reservation for Skull & Crown in Chinatown. Super cool place on Hotel St. Chart House on the marina is a lovely place, and downstairs is a local's hole in the wall bar that is pretty interesting. Remember to get to Duke's on Sunday to see Henry Kapono. Lots of hidden gems in Honolulu and just walking around is fun.

Honolulu is a nice and busy city.

Honolulu is a nice and busy city. We've booked a room there before transfer to north shore vacation. Not exactly our idea for Hawaian relax - it is city on the sea - too many building, skyscapers and people. And the smell of joint everywere. But excluding this - we enjoyed the zoo, clinbing Diamond Head, visiting Pearl Harbor. There are a lot of things to be seen.

I had a car and was visiting my 96 yr old mom. I also grew up in Honolulu. TheBus is also easy to use and get around. The more affordable and excellent food are outside of Waikiki. Yelp provides good info to decide where to go.

We did a great private tour of Honolulu with Alex Aloha Tours who was very knowledgeable as he has been living their for 29 years. This was our 3rd time but the first time we learned and saw so many new features.

We have been to Honolulu several times and it always meets...

We have been to Honolulu several times and it always meets our expectations. It is, however, very expensive. Generally, we feel American food servings are too big, so we were grateful for a full kitchen in our accommodation so we could prepare some of our meals.

The Royal Hawaiian is a beautiful, well maintained and charming hotel with the best location on Waikiki Beach. The gardens are a peaceful, tropical paradise. We loved our five nights in an Ocean Front King in the Mailani Tower.
