Stayed at this hotel recently and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was clean, the staff were polite, and the lobby was beautiful. The courtyard added to the charm. I had reserved a basic room, but decided to upgrade to a Junior Suite. The receptionist threw in the buffet breakfast and the executive lounge, and gave us a good price. It was a smart move, extras made the experience even more comfortable. The hotel is across the street from the Brussels Central train station, very convenient. The neighborhood is busy, and there is a miniature homeless encampment in a sheltered alley around the corner, but nothing to get upset about. The soundproofing is very good. We visited during a Labor Day (May 1) festival, and some of the highly amplified music leaked in the windows, but it was tolerable. The location is right where we wanted to be able to walk to the sights we wanted to see, no need for a car. We had a splendid view from the upper floor window.

Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.
French and Dutch are the city’s two official languages, so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up at Grote Markt!
Don’t miss the famous bronze, aptly named Manneken Pis statue or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussels's charm.
Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.
If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your trip to Brussels.
I was pleasantly surprised by how dirty Brussels is.
I was pleasantly surprised by how dirty Brussels is. I would avoid long walks outside the center during the dark hours of the day.
Nevertheless, the center of Brussels itself was nice and interesting. The metro was very accessible, convenient and cheap.

Such a varied city.
Such a varied city. Architecture, attractions, shopping, food, entertainment. So much to do and I never feel like I have enough time, unfortunately I also never have enough money. Brussels is expensive for the traveller/tourist unless you know your way around and know where to go for what you want.

Brussels is a very walkable city.
Brussels is a very walkable city. This city is incredibly rich in history and legends. I would have loved to have stayed an extra day or two, but we only had two days to spare. There are several walking tours offered in the Grand Place, which is a site to behold in itself. My group wanted to do a beer tour and a chocolate making tour, but we just didn’t have time to fit everything in. Definitely an excuse to come back.

Nice people, wonderful vibe of the city.
Nice people, wonderful vibe of the city.
However, few and poor transport options from Charleroi to city centre. Flibco busses have very bad reviews (!) and private taxis are very expensive (145 Eu). No direct train line (?!)
The location was amazing! Right in the center of everything and near the train station. The hotel is a block from the Grand Place and just a few blocks more from the famous "boy peeing" statue. Being so close to the train station made it so easy to explore Brussels and take day trips to other cities in Belgium.
The room was fantastic as well! The room had a look of an old building with modern amenities. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The bed was so cozy and the room had air conditioning which isn't always a thing.
The room was very spacious and very clean. the bed was very comfortable. The shower was excellent with a great water pressure. One of the best I have seen in a hotel! I would recommend this hotel, conveniently located close to the De Brouckere metro station and the Grand Place. Touristy location, less of a business location but everything is easy to access in Brussels, so not a problem. Despite being located in a noisy area of Brussels, the room was very silent (no problem sleeping at night or focusing on work)
The hotel is on a family owned nice 4-story building. The rooms are nicely decorated. The owner Sebastian was super nice. He prepared cold water in fridge for all and served breakfast. He would even take order for breakfast, like eggs, freshly made orange or apple juices. The train we were on to Brussels was late. I even got a WhatsApp phone call from him to check on us. The hotel location is perfect. Walking distance to the grand place and metro. Numerous restaurants nearly. The stay couldn’t be any better.
Hotel is well located for the City Centre, close to the Central station and Metro/Tram stations, Grand Place and Shops. The staff are very friendly, approachable and helpful. The management style is refreshingly different and the ability to make your own drink or grab a drink from the bar (reception) and just chill in the reception area is nice. Was able to arrange a later check out time easily so I didn't have to hang around waiting for my train and could use my last day exploring the delights of Brussels.
We stayed in Urban Yard Hotel only for a night during our traveling from Bruges. The hotel is really nice, freshly renovated, and clean. Just bear in mind that it's not Belgian authentic if you are looking for something like that.
It's near the train station Brussel-Zuid/Midi which for us was really important because we traveled by train from Bruges and also with Flibco airport shuttle, which also stops at Brussels Midi station. It is also pretty close to the center around 10 minutes of walking.
We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Staff were friendly, bed was comfy. Room was comfortable and very quiet. Modern bathroom with shower. Bus stop for city center (no. 66) was very close. Reasonable selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Fee airport shuttle was very convenient. Carrefour and Lidl are nearby in case of snacks. There are a couple of restaurants and a few takeaways around as well. Overall we really enjoyed our time in Brussels and our stay in this hotel.
Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Bathroom was very nice. Coffee, tea in the room, filtered water stations in the hallway so no plastic bottles. Good wifi, nice staff. The hotel is about a 7 min walk from Brussels Nord train station and a 10-12 walk from the Grand Place. It is a newer hotel so it doesn't have the character of an old building but it was a very nice room at a good price.
The hotel is located very close to the city center. You can reach everywhere on foot or by metro. The room I stayed in was quite adequate and nice. Everything was very clean. There is everything you can use in the common kitchen. As a solo traveler I have never felt unsafe. Wifi was working great. If I go to brussels one more time, I will choose the same hotel again.
Tucked away on a quiet square, the elegance of this hotel grew on me throughout my stay in Brussels, which is an oddly honky tonk city center despite majestic building facades. The bed and linens were top quality —slept so soundly ! Really enjoyed the wellness center and the lavish breakfast with green juice and lots of fruits and vegetables.
I come to Brussels for business regularly and I stayed in this hotel several times. The hotel is a good compromise between the price and location. Easy to reach from the airport by train, easy to walk to the city centre. Good breakfast selection with decent coffee, kettle, fridge and hairdryer in the room.
Hotel location was perfect, just 15 minutes walking from the city center. We could early checkin which together with helpfull personel, great breakfast and clean rooms did satisfied nearly all our expectations. Next time we will again stay in MOTEL-ONE in Brussels .
The hotel is located in the heart of Brussels right across from the central train station. It is one street away from the grand place. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. The staff was helpful and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again.
Everything was great, the hotel staff was friendly and receptive to our demands. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel also has an interesting story. The location was not far away from the city center and was safe compared to other Brussels zones.
Hotel Le Châtelain was located in a lovely and bustling neighbourhood of Brussels. It's a short walk to restaurants, bars and shopping. You could walk to the city center, but public transport is available. The room was standard.
Nice hotel close to the north station of Brussels, but also close to other places. It was easy to get to the city center. Breakfeast was good: partially western and partially Japanese, but you could pick what you wanted.
The Amigo is the perfect place to stay in Brussels. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and the hotel is beautifully maintained. The hotel is located just a very short distance from the Grand Place.
The value of the hotel was great, it was cheaper compared to other hotels in central Brussels.
The mattress and pillows were superior quality compared to 5 star hotels I’ve been too.
Location is the best thing about this hotel - a lovely base for exploring Brussels city centre on a budget. Even though it was a budget hotel, we were still pleased with our choice.
