The appartment was in the middle of the quiet neighbourhood of Blackheath, with good bus connections to other places in London. The appartment had plenty of places to sit and was well supplied with power sockets. Laura almost instantly answered questions when posed. Kitchen is well outfitted to prepare your own meal if you are tired of take out or eating outdoors

Private, bijou, modern oriental style, fully-furnished, self-catering, 1 double bedroom, ground floor, apartment with antiques and collectables. Relaxing, bright, yoga conservatory with outside patio seating. The flat is situated within a modern townhouse in the lovely, leafy Royal Greenwich Park area of Inner London near Maze Hill train station SE10. Just 5.5miles/8.9km from Central London. The property is advertised for 2 x persons sleeping in the double bedroom (bedding/towels provided - 1 x set per week); no-one sleeping on the sofa in the conservatory (no extra bedding/towels are provided for this). AREAS: Cosy, romantic, harem style bedroom (10'7" x 8'4"). UK average Double bed (4'6"/135cm wide, 6'3"/190cm long - so not suitable for very tall guests). Small Freeview TV (Freeview digital channels). All bed linen included (1 x set allocated per week). Adjacent private (small/short) shower (N.B. It has a step up so is not suitable for very tall guests (175cm/5'9" from shower base to directly under central shower head or 195cm/6'4.5" to ceiling). The separate, private toilet with small hand basin lies off the communal entrance hall (benefit: more loo noise privacy than an en-suite!). Towels/bath mat included (1 x set allocated per week). Kitchenette/breakfast bar + desk/chair study space (15'8" x 8'7") with good internet for online workers! (Your hosts are big on re-claiming/up-cycling so you'll find some re-purposed kitchen/utility units/furniture rather than brand new ones). All the basics except an oven, dish washer or extractor fan. There are windows/double doors to open for ventilation. Your own conservatory/dining/sitting/yoga area (15'7" x 10'7"). No TV in this room - only in the bedroom. Private patio (16' x 6') with table/seating for outdoor entertaining. Green garden views with trees and birdsong. Your hosts can email through a document with basic property and local details to enhance your visit. There is a fully detailed document at the flat.
Patrice is French and Laura is English. Patrice is a language and cultural-awareness specialist. Laura a creative with the choice of decoration reflecting her passion for Mediterranean/North African/Middle Eastern and Exotic Far Eastern designs. They are anti-waste and passionate about sustainability, recycling/upcycling, re-furbishing and re-purposing items. They prefer second hand, pre-loved, shabby chic pieces of furniture plus vintage and antique objects/collectables. You may see some items that are not shiny, new, modern, or perfect – but have been (or are in the process of being) rescued and restored. You might not see them during your stay but they are constantly available by phone and email. They have extensive knowledge of all areas in London and around the UK and offer local guidance as and when you require it. Upstairs guests will go straight up the stairs to the first/second floors and not linger in the ground floor hall.
The area is lush and beautiful, with relaxing parks and stunning, historic buildings. Greenwich is in Inner London which is only 5.5miles/8.9km from Central London (London Bridge). All local details are included in the welcome information which can be emailed to you. We are always available on the phone to chat through any questions and give advice. Travel: From leafy Inner London - 10 mins walk to a choice of two over-ground train stations (both Zone 3). A quick 15 mins train ride to London Bridge (bustling Central London). 10 min cab ride to the O2 Arena/North Greenwich/Jubilee Line Underground station with quick tube service into the heart of London. Good links into Central London by boat from Greenwich Pier. Up to date, detailed travel information should be obtained from TFL (Transport For London). Local Interest: Take a picnic to the historic and beautiful Royal Park (5 mins walk) and admire the stunning Georgian architecture. The Old Royal Naval Hospital with The Painted Hall/Chapel have been in 100s of movies and is a very popular film location spot for sci-fi blockbusters as well as romantic period dramas and action flicks such as 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. Great bars/restaurants/cafes nearby - all along The Thames. Take a walk down to wonderful sociable areas. The Trafalgar Tavern has lots of outside seating overlooking The Thames. Take a trip on a ferry boat to Westminster. The O2 Arena (largest in Europe) hosts amazing live acts. The Cutty Sark tea clipper is located for visitors in central Greenwich. The Royal Greenwich park is great for picnics and seeing The Planetarium. The Maritime Museum plus The Queen's House and The Ranger's House will be interesting if you like history. Blackheath Village is lovely - just 20 mins walk over the heath. It has a farmer's market.
