Welcome to Drom Florence Rooms and Apartments! We will be happy to welcome you to show you how to discover the most precious treasures of our beautiful Florence. Remember that it is possible to store your luggage in our courtyard and it is a free service both on arrival and departure. However, it is VERY IMPORTANT to contact Claudia on her telephone number which you will receive when the reservation is confirmed, or on Bookingcom at least one day before to communicate the arrival time and organize the collection of the keys, thank you! In fact there is no 24/7 front desk. All our rooms have a private bathroom, a small welcome with tea, herbal teas and instant coffee and the use of a small minibar. The rooms can be booked individually for 2 or for 1 guest and if they are part of an apartment, they do not have full use of it. IMPORTANT: Full use of the apartment (which includes the use of the living room, kitchen hob, appliances, dishes, pots and pans) will ONLY be available if a Guest books the appartment as a whole, choosing directly the option for 4 people even though their number may be less than 4. If the booking includes the entire apartment, the guests will have access to the kitchen, where they can organize themselves as they wish. To give you a reference point, I can tell you that we are 13 minutes from Ponte Vecchio. A short and beautiful walk allows you to reach in 8 minutes: - Piazza Santo Spirito with this magnificent church designed by the architect Brunelleschi, containing, among the works of art, also a wonderful wooden sculpture made by the young Michelangelo that few people know about! and with its bars and restaurants where one can eat while sitting outdoors and with its small local markets in the mornings and which is full of life until late in the evening,all this makes this square the heart of the Oltrarno. - Piazza Pitti with its beautiful museum and the historic Boboli Gardens. - Piazza del Carmine, with its large and bright church and the renowned Brancacci Chapel, which represents one of the highest paintings of the Renaissance. When reaching these squares, you will walk along the narrow and characteristic streets of the Oltrarno where one can still appreciate the ancient art of the famous Florentine restorers and the new workshops of the young designers who have chosen Florence for the place where to make their creations with more contemporary approaches. The future comes from the past! A few more steps and you will cross the river, thus finding yourself in the magic of a wonderful city which, with its palaces, churches, ancient hospitals, universities and libraries, marked the birth of Renaissance art. An open-air museum that will take you inside its real museums with all those famous works that have become true icons in the modern imagination and the best-known artists throughout the artistic world.
