What about staying in a palace of the 17th century not farther than 100 steps (!!) from Florence Cathedral? Bufalini Apartments boast such an incredible location, close to the Duomo, the Accademia Gallery, and all the city's highlights, with shops, restaurants, and bars all around. In other words, you are right in the middle of the action, with everything at your fingertips!! The complex, renovated in 2011, includes five apartments, i.e. Tiziano, Giotto, Raffaello, Michelangelo, and Leonardo. Apartment 'Michelangelo', offering a spectacular view of the Cathedral's Dome, is located on the third floor, next door to Apartment 'Raffaello'. A modern lift serves all floors. Reserved to non-smoking guests, it is cheerfully painted and it includes a spacious living/dining room with fully equipped kitchen area, the main bedroom and the bathroom with shower cabin, for a total of about 50 sqm (apx 60 sqyds). The apartment sleeps up to 4 people, two in the main bedroom and two on the sofa in the living room. The wash and drying machine is in the hallway, shared with apartment 'Raffaello'. It goes without saying that the unit is fully air conditioned (hot and cold) and has free WI-FI.

As already mentioned, Bufalini Apartments' strong point lies in its location, right in Florence downtown, with all highlights just a few steps away - that makes it not only a great base for exploring the city, but also a convenient spot for relaxing between a museum and a church or for dropping off your shopping before enjoying a drink or a gelato in one of the city's piazzas. All around you will find several restaurants and pizzerias, as well as pubs and bars to enjoy a drink and/or some nightlife, to make the most of the Florentine experience. Even the Central Market, with its vast food and wine selection to choose from, is close by. And two supermarkets are just around the corner, if you like to cook your own food. Thanks to the central location, it is generally not necessary to use any public transport to visit the city and its monuments, as they are all within walking distance. Furthermore, Piazza San Marco is the terminus of the tram (line T2) going directly to the train station and the airport, while from Piazza Libertà many bus lines lead to Fiesole, Settignano and Piazzale Michelangelo.
