Come and visit Edinburgh zoo ..friendly helpful staff..so much to see and animals that are definitely well cared for ...you can see the animals getting fed and ask questions about the breeding program that they have in place ....My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely come again....

This is a brilliant zoo, there are so many animals to see and the parking is only £4 unlike some other zoos. There are plenty of cafes and good trucks fitted around the zoo but they are very expensive. The zoo is also all uphill and some points are quite steep. Some of the "accessible" ramps are very steep. You can rent wheelchairs and mobility scooters as you enter, but I think it may be a struggle to use a self propelled chair up some of the hills.

Very good zoo, you need to be reasonably fit to enjoy it as it’s all on a big hill, but mobility aids and scooters are available doc, you need to pay a refundable deposit to use them. They also sell a season ticket / annual membership which allows you into this zoo and about 12 others

Found out trip there very disappointing.

Found out trip there very disappointing. Advertisments all over Edinburgh had pictures of panda on them. When we arrived at the zoo we were told they had gone back to China. We couldn’t just leave after travelling that far. Very hilly zoo- not for them physically challenged

Fantastic zoo with an array of animals.

Fantastic zoo with an array of animals. Most have escaped from Easter Road & wear Green & White Scarfs.... Go by the animal name of BAMS. The only downfall apart from this type of animal is that the zoo is on a massive inclined hill..!!! can be very tiring for kids.

Fantastic day out at zoo was dry day not too hot.

Fantastic day out at zoo was dry day not too hot. Go straight up to the top and work way down it’s a steep hill but take it slow. We - 2 adults - spent 4 hours there. Go for opening time 10am. Have good breakfast before you go nine if the food booths seemed to open until about 12. One restaurant near the bottom which we didn’t use as had brought snacks. Toilet blocks situated in quite a lot of places. Think there is a van that will take you up to top if poor mobility or little kids but unsure if this c is free. Plenty to see the day we went. Huge gift shop on way out. A great place to spend a day

The property was as good as any Holiday Inn property. Room was spacious, clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. While the location is not central, the bus stop is just out of the hotel, with sufficient frequency to the central city. Weekend seemed busy as the hotel is next to Edinburgh Zoo. Breakfast was good and if discounted if pre-booked. The property has swimming pool, sauna, a small library with decent collection of books, snooker and foosball to keep you engaged on a rainy day.
