Beautiful traditional building and furniture. It felt both luxurious and homely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our dog was treated extremely well with a lovely dog bed and complimentary ball. The location was excellent with lovely views of the park, easy connections and interesting places to visit nearby. The breakfast was wonderful.

The Location is great of course. What made this hotel special are the following two main points. 1. The stuff in the hotel are great. I would like to extend my appreciations to Ms. Aziza and Mr. J who working in the restaurant and the Hyde Cafe inside the hotel. They are super good. And Aziza is super friendly and she is always going extra miles to make kids happy and comfortable. And today marked almost one month of our check out date. My 4 year old son is still saying: I miss my friend (Aziza) in London. 2. The local church is hosting a live Christmas choral inside the hotel lobby. That was great experience for us. My son really enjoyed the singing xxx. Getting to know the locals is always nice thing to do when you travel.

Harrods

Department stores don’t come more luxurious than Harrods. Set in an ornate 19th-century building in glitzy Knightsbridge, this shopping emporium features a million square feet of retail space. You can enlist the services of gift concierges, peruse the gilded Egyptian-style clothing room or even buy bars of gold! Then there’s the quaint food hall, where afternoon tea is a must-try tradition.

Every time I am in London I go to the Harrods food court, the food is just amazing. Buy whatever delicacies I am in the mood for and then go and eat in Hyde Park. This time I had hubby and the kids with me and they enjoyed my ritual just as much. A picnic in the park is always a must for me and Harrods provides the most wonderful experience shopping for lunch!

The food court was impressive!

The food court was impressive! Sadly, we did not eat in a restaurant here, which I would like to do on our next trip. The escalators were surrounded by magnificent architecture! The toy floor was a delight to our children, but I think Hamleys (?) in Picadilly Circus is better. The ceilings are rather low on the toy floor in Harrods and it feels rather cave like. The lower levels have higher ceilings. Lots to see and buy here!

A great place to visit just so you can say you've been.

A great place to visit just so you can say you've been. Souvenirs are extremely expensive particularly for us Aussies who have a pretty terrible exchange rate currently. Lovely piece of history, but in reality just about everything in the shape is well and truly out of the 'ordinary' person's price range.

Location of hotel is ideal. The room was in need of a fix up. Paint in the bathroom and the general feel of the furniture apart from the plaid furniture felt dated. Dark and not inviting in a darker room. Breakfast was good and came with out stay. Great bakery across the street and easy restaurants with tasty food on offer. Easy walk to V&A and History Museum as well as the shopping area including Harrods.

The hotel is just around the corner from Harrods and going there was one of my main reasons for the trip. My room was cozy and the bed was comfy. I actually slept great, which is unusual for me. Staff was helpful and the cream tea was really good! Others had complained about no place to eat it. Really?!? The young man brought it to my room and set it on the bed on a tray. I pulled up the small stool and enjoyed it immensely.
