Hotel in Mosman, Sydney
Nestled within Taronga Zoo and overlooking Sydney Harbor, Wildlife Retreat at Taronga is an eco-retreat offering stylish accommodations in a relaxed bush setting. Our stay was well beyond my expectations. Initially I was a little worried, as it was a little outside of my price range. I liked the idea that it was nonprofit and sustainable and I thought the proximity of the animals would be fun for my daughter. The staff was amazing...extremely helpful and kind and always went the extra mile to help us to feel welcome. This never happens, but the view was even better than what's listed on the site. We had a room facing the opera house and it was stunning...we also had an adorable koala outside our room constantly. Just like in the picture. Really. There were several extras that I hadn't anticipated...a morning and evening zoo walk and a tour of a little area made available only to guests. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and you could tell the zoo was working more as an animal sanctuary. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone. It's also extremely accessible, so my daughter and I were able to use it as a home base for exploring other parts of the city. We often came back with tons of sand between our toes and still had time to enjoy the view and the animals.

Hotel in Darling Harbour, Sydney
Featuring a casino, a day spa and 20 bars and restaurants, The Darling at The Star is just 2133 feet from Cockle Bay. The room was impeccably clean and neat. I liked the ultra-modern electrical “touch” switches, especially the electrical opening/closing of the curtains. Similarly, instead of a “Do Not Disturb” sign, there was a “Privacy” switch which lit up a small light outside the room for the housekeeping staff. I had to eat my own diet breakfast in my room and the hotel facilitated this by giving me plates and cutlery. The shower (handheld as well as rainfall) worked well. There is a food court servicing the three adjoining hotels and casino.

Sydney is a gorgeous city with a variety of sites and activities. We found it easy to navigate - walking, taking ferries, and taxis occasionally. We saw the symphony at the Sydney Opera House - beautiful music and delightful setting. The architecture is truly amazing to behold! We ate delicious seafood at several spots along the water where we could enjoy the sunsets. The Rocks was a great area for buying unique gifts of all types. We saw the Aboriginal Art Exhibit at the New South Wales Museum. It was very respectfully presented - important for people to know the history of the native people. The Chinese Garden was an incredible oasis - beautiful, exotic plants and many birds, especially Ibis, were seen throughout. The Botanical Gardens are a treasure for all to see. We would love to return in the future!
I spent two days at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Day 1 - the Frida Kahlo Diego Rivera exhibition, and Day 2 - the Archibald, Wynne, Sulman and Young Archies - all wonderful. Dinner at The Bach Eatery in Newtown was wonderful. It's a small plates venue and would be great for sharing. Food, a duck salad, was delicious - perfect. I added a glass of NZ Pinot noir which was also great quality. Staff had a lovely, light manner, making the experience just perfect. Brunch next day at Encasa Deli in Bathurst Street also a really good pick. Boquerones, lime and mint juice and wonderful coffee to finish - more perfection!
Wonderful city! So much to see and do from great galleries (Art Gallery of New South Wales) to shops to easy access to beaches.
The city was lovely! We arrived in Sydney after a cruise and stayed 3 days in the city. It was thrilling to see the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge. Unfortunately the week we visited rained at least part of each day. We traveled to the Blue Mountains and although it was cloudy, the day was still enjoyable. A return from our tour included a river ferry ride into the city under the Harbor Bridge and past the Opera House. A tour of the New South Wales south coast including the amazing Sea Cliff Bridge and the coast of Kiama was fabulous! We ate at the Hard Rock Café at Darling Harbor, a Brazilian steak house near Tumbalong park and found walking from our hotel on Liverpool street to Darling Harbor was very "doable" even with my parents in their 80's.
A picture-esque sleepy beach town on the mid north coast of new south wales. Beautiful wildlife, screanery, food and beaches. Super peaceful. A perfect spot to stop off between sydney and brisbane. Check out trial bay, jump off back creek bridge, explore the waterfalls in arakoon park and the bistro down by the river.
Blackheath
A good memory my vacation at Blackheath, Blue Mountain, New South Wales Australia. Highly Recommeded
The setting, Staff and Cuisine were all excellent!
Great location and wonderful view from the room
The staff were super friendly and gave us some great tips and recommendations on wineries to visit. The room exceeded expectations, particularly with how little we paid for it! A lovely fireplace that was all ready to go when we checked in. Great spot for a winter weekend in the Hunter Valley!
Our two days in the Blue Mountains unfortunately fell victim to the Northeaster coming in - visibility was less than 100m, sometimes even the other side of the street seemed foggy and it rained cats and dogs. So we were very happy about this cozy hotel! It is historic and well-preserved (but of course with all modern amenities you need in the rooms). Fun to explore the different rooms, there's a nice bar and somewhere they have hidden away a brewery it seems. Oh, and the dining room... Great - had a good breakfast there (we had enjoyed dinner in the other brewery in town). The room was a bit smaller than expected, but for one night it was ok. It was quiet and we slept very well. There is a new parking garage next to the hotel - only disadvantage is, that you are exposed to the elements when you walk over there.
Stunning luxury resort in the rainforest. The staff were so lovely and helpful. Cocktails and restaurant on site.
Such a calm room, loved location on cliffs. Staff at reception ready to help with anything. Liked all amenities, especially binoculars.
The bed was really good, it was a big room. The location was very good, close to a pub and a amazing buffet.
I liked it’s location. My cabin was beautiful and spacious. The heater was on when I arrived and it was so comfortable . I had my privacy as the veranda area was screened with plants and an outside table and chairs. I could cook in the mini oven and there was even an iron and hairdryer 😀
Stunning Deco style venue Beautiful location Friendly and helpful staff
What a beautiful setting with so much to do. Bike riding, canoeing, walks. We had a lovely, new 2 bedroom chalet. Staff were so helpful with hiring mountain bikes and explaining best places to explore. It was a nice treat to have breakfast at Cuisine Restaurant each morning.
Amazing for a family break. The kids loved it.
The cottage aesthetic is gorgeous. The surrounds are magic.
The suite is clean, large with all amenities and luxury items to make long stay more comfortable.
Very modern hotel, great restaurant!
Ive never had such an experience like this, from the views, to the hammocks, the bush walks, fire place the bedroom & Bathroom ✨ I felt so refreshed after leaving here even though it wasn't long enough after 2 days Definitely a 10/10 for us. Well be back again soon we loved it that much.
The rooms a nicely decorated, specious and well set up to also be comfortable during the colder time of the year. The weather was sadly not good enough to check out the pool, but the setting is gorgeous. The continental breakfast had a wide and high quality selection, would definitely recommend it. Also the in-house restaurant has a great selection of cocktails and dishes, so nothing wrong with staying in and enjoying the hotel properties.
