I really liked my room and the hotel generally. It was beautifully designed and made me feel comfortable during my stay while in town for the women's world cup. The staff was so nice, friendly, and very helpful. The housekeeping staff did such a great job cleaning my room. The front desk staff was so patient and friendly every time and I had questions. The cafe staff was so welcoming and nice. Overall it was an amazing experience and I would love to return.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. Of four nights, only one night the car parking inside our lot wasn’t available (we came back after 10pm), so we had to park in the other car parking of the hotel, but there was always parking g while we were there in May. It was a very spacious apartment for the two of us, super comfortable, everything was very clean, the kitchen super well equipped (we cooked out breakfasts there), it has a small laundry… and the design and layout of the room were perfect: the beautiful views of the lake could be seen from every area. Having breakfast looking at the lake was a great experience. Great location super close to everything. Just loved it

we had been traveling for some weeks when we reached eichardts, so having laundry facilities in our apartment suite were an unexpected bonus. The nice kitchen also gave us the ability to cook some food items which we like without going out to a restaurant. The locaction of eichardts at the waterfront promenade was beautiful and got us close to all the local bars and tours. We were served a liesurly but excellent free breakfast in the eichardts bar. Great and helpful hotel staff. Queenstown on the wharf is so beautiful, dont go to the uphill accomodations

Very surprising l, community oriented feel with great service and beautiful aesthetics! We booked this property kind of fast for a quick one night stay in Queenstown but ended up loving it! Loved particularly the common spaces with the wood burning fireplace, working areas and so on. The location is also very convenient and the staff super friendly and welcoming. Would definitely visit again on our next stop in gorgeous Queenstown.

A very good hotel. We had an executive suite that was very comfortable. First night was a bit warm, but that was our own fault: we should have set the room temp a little lower. After we did that, we slept the second night like a log. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Easy to charge our car on the complimentary Tesla Destination Charger in the parking basement.

Queenstown is tiny so having an apartment in town with designated parking makes everything so convenient. We didn’t need to drive into town since literally everything was within walking distance! It’s also easy to get in and out of the parking lot and out of town. The apartment was spacious and well stocked with everything we could need. Had great views of the mountains!

A city with scenic landscapes and harbour views seen from everywhere. Charming villas hug hillside suburbs with many quaint communities to discover. Easy walking around the city centre or alternatively drive around the coastal roads and suburbs to visit surf beaches pounding one side of the peninsula in contrast to the calm blue of the Otago harbour. Lots to see for bird & wildlife enthusiasts, eclectic shopping and architectural delights including Larnach castle’s interesting historical story.

Wanaka is a great little town.

Wanaka is a great little town. Primarily a stepping stone to the ski resorts. However we did not go the the resorts. We did do a day trip to Blue Pools and the nearby waterfalls (Thunder falls). the drive was scenic and the pools were well worth having a look at. Thunderfalls is certainly a photo spot as well. We circled back to wanaka and had a look at the Wanaka tree. Its a great picture just prior to sunset as the branches of the tree have and orangy color to them.

Not much to do in Oamaru, will recommend visiting the quaint museums, Oamaru heritage museum (pay/donate as you wish) and steampunk museum (NZD$15/pax). both were interactive and we enjoyed it with the helpful stuff. the day was a cloudy and rainy so we opted out of visiting the penguins - they have a live youtube stream of the penguins coming home which we watch. We did visit the penguins tour during the day, which was open to public and saw some fur seals relaxing. To watch the penguins coming home, it's NZD$45 per pax, which we thought was a little expensive. + the weather being bad, we decided to watch them online instead.

Cromwell is a great place to base yourself, perfectly positioned in the heart of Central Otago between iconic hotspots like Queenstown and Wanaka. Just a short 45-minute drive from both, it's incredibly accessible, yet offers enough charm and character to stand proudly as a destination in its own right. Whether you're chasing adrenaline, exploring vineyards, or simply unwinding by Lake Dunstan, Cromwell caters to every pace. The town blends scenic beauty with a welcoming, laid-back vibe that makes visitors feel instantly at home. From world-class wineries to heritage precincts and local markets, it rewards those who linger with rich and memorable experiences. Don’t just pass through, spend time here. You’ll discover why many wish they'd stayed longer.

There is a big clock on the hilltop.

There is a big clock on the hilltop. A big playground in the city centre. An information centre with a museum and a small gallery in the same building. We could walk along the river in the bush. Grocery shopping was easy as there are two major supermarkets, New World and Woolworths. Fast food was easy to find. Cafes offer good-tasting coffee. There is plenty of free parking in the town centre, from where we could walk almost anywhere around the town. Alexandra is a small town for a visit, where you want to unwind in a laid-back setting. It is also close to Cromwell and Roxburgh, where you can go for cherry picking in the summer.
