This was a fantastic stay. Great location, cute cottage and garden. Very comfortable and very clean. Really couldn't fault it! Parking tip, the East Street car park is long stay and if you exit via the bottom gate it's less than a 2 minute walk from the cottage. The car park just opposite the cottage has a 4 hour limit.

Area was nice. Activities around caravan were good. We were not able to get the key safe opened (actually were doing it incorrect, though there isn't any manual how it opens up), called the owner and got this sorted after google searching. Owner response was also positive here.

In Caravan, pipe attached underneath the kitchen sink was not connected and hence all water was dripping on ground instead of waste pipe. WiFi wasn't working. Heating wasn't very great. Boiler also stopped working next day.

Good value for money, comfortable beds with new mattresses, nice host and staff. Plentiful breakfast.

I like to strip beds on departure to help housekeeping staff and sometimes the 'hidden reveals the real quality of the establishment. Long and behold the duvet was old and stained and the mattress protector on the double bed was absolutely gross with lots of staines. Pillows were rock hard. Easy fix, place is lovely otherwise

The staff were lovely. The conservatory extension and access to the garden were nice.

The room and the whole hotel were just so tired. So much needed to be fixed. There were only two thin pillows on the bed and we had to dig for more. There was no food on the Sunday night and the only thing open anywhere was a McDonalds which we took back to our room. Hilarious experience.

Fire alarm at 04:30 am with no staff at the rear of the property directing people where to go or whether it was safe to re-enter the hotel, we couldn't get back to sleep following this so left for very tired children the following day. Another fire alarm at 10:30 am which meant we had to check out earlier. I appreciate fire alarms do happen and are there for guests safety which is absolutely fine, but staff were not very good at communicating to anyone and did leave quite a few of us out the rear of the property not knowing what was happening. Both fire alarms were caused by the same smoke detector head which was obviously faulty.
