had to walk to another building 2 mins away to check in queues were horrendous waited 20 mins to be seen then passed off to another member of staff. No shower curtain on bath towel rail and room radiator did not work. got hassled by cleaner 1 min before checkout.

Rooms are tired. Blind was broken but when pull down lots of brown stains. The room had lots of scuffs and a few dents on the walls. It could do with a freshen up. Blanket on one of the beds had holes in it. Needed a good dust as well

The room was charming and very efficient but I prefer more space so I don't think I would be interested in more than a night or two. One thing that really annoyed me - that wasn't really the hotel it was to do with the concierge. He strongly recommended a black cab over taking the tube to take me to the train station and told me that at the time of day (noon) I shouldn't have any issues with traffic. In fact I paid 47.60 (pounds) to travel from Citizen M to Marylebone Station which is around 5 stops (sadly I even missed my train). The traffic was of course busy but moving consistently. I could have paid 2 pounds and been there in about 20 mins as I did the day i arrived. I have no idea why a recommendation was made when it was so clearly a really expensive option that should have been flagged. I normally uber but he really seemed to think this would be a great choice.... Maybe don't recommend things without the appropriate caveats. Even a cab fare at half that price would have been worth noting compared to the alternatives.

Bed uncomfortable: had two mattresses piled on top of each other, which was not very stable. I discovered the lower was heavily soiled when I removed it to get some sleep. Bar was very noisy until midnight and security light outside stayed on until 05:30: together with tell-tales on the shower and bathroom light it gave enough light to read by. The electrics were not properly attached to the wall and the main lightswitch was missing its knob. The toilet was very compact: my elbows touched the walls on both sides. Although there was a cup and drinks supplies there was no kettle. The room had not been cleaned properly: the bedside table draw still had empty medicine blisters in it.

Rustling noises in the attic kept us awake at night- my husband is very allergic to dogs/cats. Not sure if there had been an animal inside the property?
