  We have stayed here on a number of occasions. For the last few visits 2021/2024 it doesn’t seem as intimate There were a number of weddings while we were there. The staff seemed to be stretched trying to to cater for the weddings . We found trying to find someone who knew how to mix cocktails. I had to go and see the manager . And tell him his staff were not trained! Also we are in our 80s now and we were put up in an annex (General Wade) which was quite a walk to and from the hotel especially when it rains! Ux

  Busy hotel and pub. Very helpful cheery lady Donna locked our bikes away for us overnight as we had cycled to the hotel. Great breakfast, Restaurant not open that night but staff told us about the local options nearby. Beds comfy. Room clean, small but perfect for our stay. TV, good bedside lights for reading. Right next to main road but no traffic noise.

  The location of this hotel is incredible. Very central, right next to all the theatres and lots of options for eating out and drinking. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Rooms are very small but I feel for the price and location it is pretty reasonable, ideal if you don’t plan on spending a lot of time in the room. Staff were lovely and helpful.

  We were on the bottom floor, could be a little bit noisy at times from reception/ lifts but nothing that disturbed us too much. There was also a little green emergency light on the roof which is ridiculously bright at night, it literally lights up the whole room.
