This hotel is fantastic on so many levels. It’s not simply a place to stay with a lovely sea view, generous friendly staff, fabulous breakfast and a minute away from the seafront - it’s also a best kept secret. Two floors have an art gallery of napkin art from famous punters and normal folk - very fun! But it’s the history that makes you want to hang around indoors when you’ve really come to see the sea. The second floor has a museum of household items and clothing and typewriters and seaside pictures and all sorts from the last hundred years. It’s a curious eclectic collection, and if you ask, you’ll get to see the ledgers of guest lists too!! And it’s run by Jane, the maverick collector and storyteller who will regale you with tales over breakfast.

The cable on the kettle was too short, so the kettle had to be filled on the floor. I really can't think of any other negative aspects.

"Living in this apartment is like waking up in a Pinterest board every day! It's so stunning, even the dust bunnies (if there was any dust couldn't find) are stylish. Just be warned: you may never want to leave, but who needs to go outside when your home is this fabulous? 10/10

Checking out & leaving. The receptionist was nice when checking us in.

The hotel was worn. The carpets were dirty & stained in the corridors. They had shrunk. The floor in out room 215 had large gaps between the planks of wooden flooring. The jets on the bath were dirty when used & spat out black mouldy bits. The noise up & down the corridor went on for hours & the people shouting crying & carrying on was too much. Over £300 for 1 night was an absolute waste of money.
