We loved the styling, lighting and furnishings inside and out. There's cool artwork, a big comfy bed, indoor and outdoor lounges and it all looks great. The total privacy in the garden here is a massive plus, making it good value compared to similar types of lodge elsewhere. Only a very short drive over to the shops in Burgh Le Marsh from here, and it's only about ten minutes to Skegness. The pizza oven made dinner outdoors nice and easy, and relaxing around the fire pit as it got dark was so nice. The hot tub and projector screen would be just as enjoyable in winter, but we were very happy with it on our warm and sunny May evening here!

Lovely B&B, well situated in Grasmere with fantastic staff and amenities. Provided free firewood and kindling for our stay in the shepherds hut. Also provided a fan when we mentioned it was a bit hot in the room Ev charger was cheap and very convenient Breakfast was plentiful and delicious

Grill on the hill website pricing didn't correspond with actual prices. Restaurant quite pricey. Cannot set up a tab or charge meals/drinks to your room and have to pay as you go. Never experienced this before.

Room at top of steep staircase with constant noise from boiler (?). No area set aside for guests who did not wish to be near dogs. Whilst accepting that this is a dog-friendly accommodation, there are several dining areas available and consideration for guests who are averse to or allergic to dogs is important. Surely one of these areas could be kept free of dogs.

Staff not helpful and not enough staff. Bar staff were absent. Bar closed early. Room fridge didn’t work. Lift was out of order so took ages to get to the room.
