The property was comfortable and clean and very close to the city centre. Onsite parking is a big plus. Staff were very helpful and lovely.

We booked the hotel as we were in town for a major music event. Regrettably, the price of our 2 night stay was £850. This compared to £220 for 2 nights outside of this weekend. Whilst I appreciate that major events are likely to lead to an increase in prices, this is an exorbitant increase that takes advantage of a captive market. The Novotel is not unique in this regards as prices were sky high everywhere. But as a major chain with repeat customers it is certainly disappointing to charge so much for a basic room that didn’t include breakfast or parking in that nightly rate. Everyone has choices and we chose to book a central location, but it doesn’t make it right.

Bar menu very limited for gf and yeast allergy sufferer, ended up eating a bowl of chips. The restaurant offered a good selection for lunch but even on such a beautiful day would not serve it outside in the lovely garden. Exceptional seating area but the hotel was not prepared for the first day of summer, there was no shade and parasols were not provided even through requested.
