  it was very clean and the food was lovely. It was a lovely birthday night away and to be track side which was amazing. The shop was very cool as well. Phoebe who was serving in the bar was lovely and very efficient

  The extractor fan in the shower is so loud. Luckily turns off at 9pm but comes on before 7am. There was some delays with the bar upstairs, phoebe seemed to be working alone as the other staff member with her was very slow, didn’t seem to know what he was doing and people were waiting 30-40 minutes for their drinks. When I checked in my room was wrong, I didn’t get track facing and the reception lady was very good she checked my confirmation and upgraded my room to what it should’ve been.

  We tried to contact host a few days before arrival, but they didn't reply. On arrival, we had been provided with the wrong key code. We'd flown 11 hours and had a lot of luggage - we were left waiting on the doorstep. We called and text - but no reply! After 20 minutes we walked and ubered to our son's house 15 minutes away and waited over an hour before we were given the correct code - so we had to pay for yet another uber to get back to the flat. The apartment was very tiny a - which we expected - it was up a big flight of stairs. Flat was EXTREMELY basic. The linen was crumpled, hairs on the windowsill. The floor had so many bits on it that we didn't want to walk in bare feet. It was certainly "self-catering" taken to the extreme... one bath towel each for FOUR days! No soap, 1 toilet paper, 1 coat hanger, no kettle in the room, - although you could walk down the stairs to a kitchen with 3 cups, 1 spoon, 1 knife for about 5 apartments - but no complimentary tea, coffee or milk. It did have an iron - but no ironing board. There was no personal service at all - no follow up to see if we were in ok and ask if everything was fine.
