The location is good but the staff at reception are a bit off hand and the room was down a long corridor and through a games room. It could do with refurbishment but then it would probably be more expensive.

The breakfast could have been better. A fresh fruit salad is always preferable to tinned and frozen. The staff member on reception was a bit off hand.

The team at Malmaison were really friendly and approachable, Very friendly with responses on queries I had prior to the stay. Room was really comfortable and spacey, which I would expect for the amount paid.

Bathroom could do with a bit of a refurb, just starting to look tired. The room and bathroom were very clean just needed a touch up. Lights in the room were annoying, they are either too dark or too bright and this is very trivial, not very makeup application proof as the lighting was really difficult

The property is located in a lovely area, close to pubs/ shops and Bayswater Tube station. I was a solo traveller and I felt safe walking home in the dark from the tube

The room was very noisy as it had an adjoining door which did little to stop noise from the next room, I could actually hear him brushing his teeth, also there was no blackout curtains so it was very light very early. The next problem was the shower above my room was leaking into my shower cubicle, so was not happy about showering in somebody else’s water, also a bit worried the roof would cave in as this looked like an ongoing problem. I did report this at the time. I then complained directly to the hotel when I got home and they gave me half my money back for the Friday night. Since looking at other accommodation it looks like they had hiked the price up somewhat as it was Chealsea flower show weekend. Nice enough place for about £60 a night not worth the £130 I paid

Angela was very friendly and welcoming. There was tea/coffee in the room but both were stale. Lovely setting on the edge of the moors.
Negative section of review
There was no one at the premises for us to check in at the time ….and I tried to call but no answer. A lock on the door to the room. The room has v limited headroom even for me at 5’2” and was laid out badly, was cluttered with furniture ….poor decor. The main entry into the room went straight into the bathroom so limited the use of the loo.
