Very welcoming and warm place! I felt like an important guest in this hotel. Amazing value for the price. They also allowed me to park my car in a secure and free private parking spot before checking in.

Staff hospitality was excellent it was great value for money a great breakfast and good bar and meal options.

The room door was tricky and it was difficult to turn the key and you had to wiggle the key at a certain angle. Staff has to explain the exact angle to pull the key out and the hotel would benefit from new locks on the room doors some had been changed but not all. There was no way of letting air inside the bedroom as the window was locked they would benefit from a small window that can be opened in the bedroom.

It was a little difficult to find as you arrive at a surrounding metal fence with a gate with a large sign 'security' which makes you think you have come to the wrong place as there is no sign there for the lodge. Dont worry - go inside metal gate, travel past the agricultural buildings and you will find a sign to 'hotel and restaurant' - there you will find the lodge.

Obscure bedroom at the top of a very narrow staircase - servants’ quarters. Aberystwyth hotels are over-priced.

If you are going to be dog friendly……once there encourage….ie please allow more areas internally for owners and pets can be together in the bar areas. We visit a lot of hotels, and hotel has the most restrictions. I understand not restaurant area, but you could place some extra tables and chairs for dogs and owners outside the pool table area, or make the pool room a dog friendly room, pets on the hill, I promise it would be very popular. You have the original wooden doors throughout the building, at the front, toilets etc…..the brass work is dirty, cleaned would show the extra mile on cleanliness and presentation.

Not clean!! Hair on the bed, old and nearly yellow bed sheet, air-con not working, street noise. I am not sure if bed bug there.
