Positive section of review
Friendly staff who were helpful and welcoming. Despite being very small the rooms were basic but have everything you need for one or two nights. The beds were very comfortable and the shower room was nicely equipped with large soft towels. The air conditioning is a nice touch. From an accessibility perspective the doors are wide enough to get my power chair through but not really enough space to store it. There was also the issue of not being near a socket to charge it, luckily I always travel with an extension lead. There is a small step into the shower and the toilet is a reasonable height although too close to the door.

The rooms are very small and there’s quite a bit of road noise so you wouldn’t be able to leave the window open at night, although it is London so it’s to be expected and there is air conditioning. Unfortunately there was a horrible smell like stagnant water which was very unpleasant and as we’d got back quite late we were too tired to start packing up and moving. We could have done with a hand towel instead of having to use one of the bath sheets and maybe an extra socket nearer the beds. I did request an accessible room but it would help if you were able to select this during the booking process and not just in the request section.

Hotel is close to the station and staff are generally very helpful and attentive. Request for a quiet room sent to hotel was arranged (very grateful for this - some rooms face the local student night club and unless you keep the windows closed you may as well go and join the party!)

Slight annoyance at bedroom door lock. Door locks (in the may places I've stayed) need turning a full 90 degrees when you're in your room. It's extra security. I always check being a solo female traveller. My room door lock didn't (at least at first) I managed to get it to 45 degrees and no further. All you needed to do was push the door for the extra lock to spring open. Reported to reception who came up and said nothing wrong with the lock (apparently it was like that for fire reasons). Annoyed I wasn't taken seriously, it took a good 20min of playing round to get the lock to work properly. Stunned staff member didn't recognise the security issue and fobbed me off.

Excellent breakfast. Accommodation warm, comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed. Perfect location. Kevin and Elaine are lovely thoughtful hosts.

The bed against the window made it a bit awkward for one of us but we knew to expect that as it's on the accommodation photo ... so not really a grumble. Other that that it was a comfy mattress.

The doors of the hotel rooms were tricky to close and needed slamming to close. So whenever someone was going back to their room or leaving the room shook and was extremely loud.
