A comfortable room that we could use all day. No house keeping. Breakfast was good, there was certainly plenty to choose from. Friendly staff kept the hotel clean and tidy. Visitors were made to feel welcomed.The hotel was ideally situated opposite the bandstand and within walking distance from the theatres and the town. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The day the lift broke. The walk up to our room on the 3rd floor. But it was a good way to burn off the breakfast calories. No other concerns

I had a very fragile item that needed looking after before my check in time. The gentleman behind the reception desk was very reassuring and made sure it was kept safely until I returned later in the day to check in. Excellent service, would stay again.

Rooms were very clean and furnishings were lovely. the check in staff were very helpful and accomodating. lovely view from the room

The beds could do with a upgrade. Matresses were very 'springy' and you could feel a lot of the coils. Even just a chunky mattress topper would have made the difference. Breakfast seemed to be missing a few things. Tasted nice enough, but was rather basic.

Had to have the windows open through the night as it was so hot, and being close to the town centre, I was woken up several times from people outside, shouting and cars racing.

The ventilation rattled all night in the first room I was allocated. I got moved the following morning to a room in which the key-card for the lights didn’t work. An engineer stuffed three cards in the fitting leaving the lights permanently on.
