destination reviews from real travellers

How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The courtyard setting is so beautiful it is a dream to live in.. with colourful planting, old stonework and quirky things. The room (108) was comfortable, quiet at night, excellent bed, good shower/bath. Arundel is a small town and the hotel is right in the centre. The Castle is two minutes away, if you walk via the car park. The car park was almost full, but we got a spot. £6. We tried the Tap Room, which offered some interesting craft beers, but it wasn't very comfortable/atmospheric. WWT Arundel (wetlands park) is a nice visit, as well.

The central heating started banging from 5:30-6:30 am, air-lock suspected. The upstairs neighbour was a bit heavy on their feet early in the am, but I was already awake. Next time, we'll get a room upstairs, if not in the hotel proper. The breakfast was not good. (£12.50/ea.) Eggs on the menu was an egg. The large mushroom was well over-grilled, as was the tomato and bacon. The sausage was nice. Next time, we'll find a local cafe.

The restaurant food was good for breakfast and dinner and seemed popular on the 2 evenings I was there.

I booked a single room and got one, but with a single bed! Slightly uncomfortable and quite unusual these days. The hotel EV chargers are not complimentary.....in fact they are the most expensive in the UK. Definitely worth avoiding.

The place seemed trashy at first glance. The first thing I saw when I got there was a bunch of people trying to get in but were unable to because the code was WRONG. So then I had the same issue. We waited outside for about an hour, the woman contacted them and they kept repeating the same code over and over again. Then someone from inside let us in. When I got in I tried to call them (as that is the check in process) but nobody picked up. Then they called me back and asked me for my driver's license. Then they told me to leave because I was in the wrong place. I had to walk a few doors down and when I got inside the room the remote was broken and the place looked VERY SMALL. I used some toilet paper and made myself some coffee. Then the lights starter flickering, I messaged the about it and they said they'll see if anyone can help, then replied saying sorry there's nothing we can do about it. So I left. The customer service people are so rude on the phone. They show no empathy. They told me I can't get a refund because I used the toilet paper and coffee. Save yourself the time and DONT BOOK.
