Clean and straight forward rooms. Historic building and site. Sloping floor in room. Very friendly and helpful at check in - I needed to change my reservation and the lady was very helpful and sorted it without any hassle or judgement. I liked that the rooms did not have TVs, there is a bar with honesty payments, more than ample tea and coffee facilities in the room and you are directed to where you can get more if you run out. There is a beautiful lounge area, which is well lit thanks to the massive window, I wish I could have spent more time here to make use of that space. A perfect place for contemplation or just a bit of peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. Great breakfast, cooked and cereal. Eateries in Whalley are just a short walk away.

Good location right in the terminal building in Gatwick so great for early morning flights. Good breakfast provided and the refurbished rooms are an improvement.

Ideal location for shuttle crossing. The bed was very comfy bed. The room was clean. Free wifi and free parking.

Noisy until approx. 11pm but it was very quiet after this - the music in the bar was loud and the staff seemed to congregate under our bedroom window. The shower over the bath was very low due to sloped ceiling so could barely stand under it.

I thought the Toilet Room could be with the sink and the room could be bit bigger.. I think they should be a information about what restaurants are near By for people can go eat. I think you should sell cider because when I came back from my music concert I did want a cider but you didn't sell it even if it was in a bottle it be good.

Despite arriving late due to horrendous traffic, and making this known to staff, families (fair enough) and people on business/diplomatic duties seemed to be given priority at check in, even though my check in would be very quick. Also, the room was very noisy… both from drunks walking down the corridor and a fan in the bathroom. Some evidence of damage in the bathroom too Additionally, the fire alarm/smoke detector light in the ceiling was very annoying. Local parking was expensive.
