The room was very clean and with good facilities. The little kitchen had everything you needed. Basic cutlery, a microwave, a kettle. Also when we arrived there were some drinks and teabags. In addition a very clean bathroom, enough towels, very clean bed. Enough pillows. Etc. Also we received multiple texts if we had any questions and if everything went well when we arrived.

In front of our window were trashcans with heaps of trashbags on top of them. We knew we wouldn't have a view because our room was below street level, but looking at trash isn't wat we were expecting either. Also the windows were made of very thin glass with no noise isolation at all. We really liked the gesture of provided earplugs (which indicates they are aware of the problem) but they didn't help at all. The room was located next to a very busy street and ambulances were driving along with their sirens on all through the night.

Fabulous location. Husband and I stayed in an en-suite room in the annex. Great sea view and good walk into town about 10 minutes. Great value, there is a kitchen so you can make tea etc. all good.

The building exists but no Hotel is operating in this building. I was told by a tenant to go to the building on the left of the Adnans Hotel called The Gables Hotel.

Not only did I not booked into The Gables Hotel the place is old and should not be allowed to be classed as a Hotel.

This hotel is in an incredible location and is very convenient for the coastal path.

This hotel caters to a lot of people walking the coastal trail, often arriving in wet clothing. In our room, there was no place to hang wet jackets when first coming in the door; there was a wardrobe, but you wouldn't want to put dripping jackets in there. There was no place to sit down to put shoes/hiking boots on by the door, even though there was ample room for a little bench or chair. The bathroom sink was completely inadequate, as it was the "basin sits on top of a wooden stand" variety. Water splashed everywhere. There was no place to put a dopp kit except on the window ledge. The tiles behind the sink were tiny pieces of slate, which are impossible to clean, which is why there was soap and toothpaste scum all over them. There were no hooks above the toilet/next to the sink for hand towels, which meant that you had to cross the room to the hooks on the back of the door, dripping water for 1 1/2 meters. The room had a sofa pressed against one wall, thus making it nearly impossible to get out of bed on that side. A couple of comfy chairs would be much more appropriate. The fridge was on a tenuous table. The skylight blind was broken and torn. The ceiling light cast no discernable light whatsoever. The whole set up in the room was very impractical and seemed to be relying on its "quaint charm" to carry it.

Organisation to get the 3 course dinner we paid for was dreadful. Given 2 menus to order from and then realising their mistake, we had to queue at reception to ask for menus and then queue at the bar to order. The mozzarella bites were lovely BUT the fish and chips brought and left at the side of the table whilst l had only begun the starters went cold, and also tasted "off". I gave it back. No refund!! The sweet choice was appalling, chopped fruit without no cream or the other choice was ice cream!! Breakfast was taken at 930am and was also cold so all in all, very poor indeed. We are back at the end of this holiday and l hope this review helps to improve things!!

We found the staff to be very cold from the get go & didn’t really seem interested in being there, so we didn’t bother asking them for advice or issues we had with the room. All in all the room was quite good but the Air Con wasn’t working so it was very hot at night, plus the TV could do with an update too as most channels weren’t working. We spent very little time in the hotel anyway so it didn’t really matter but yeah the customer service is really not up to par with a 4 star hotel.
