Amazingly good value. Had a comfortable night's sleep. Excellent situation for town's amenities. Good car parking facilities. We were able to stay until 12, rather than having to leave at 10 like many other hotels

Not really your problem but the road into town was unbelievably difficult to cross. Would like to see pedestrian lights at the roundabout

Amazing views from the property and really large and comfortable rooms. There was even a home made bar area which was a lovely addition. Hope to be back again

The location, tea tray, the offer of fans, the information given on arrival, staff very friendly and helpful, lovely period features (ceiling roses, etc)

Mattress is very soft and the bins are way too small.

Spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Staff were superb.

Only thing I can fault is in room Etherley tv connection. We had issue with initial room and were moved to second room. All good, however, still Internet TV issues. I work in IT and suspect load issue. More users less stability.

lovely setting in the country. Quiet so slept well.

Evening meal and breakfast were of poor quality and expensive for what was served. For example my sister had burger (no bun because she is gluten free) and chips for £15 and it came with two lettuce leaves and a smear of burger sauce. No onions, tomatoes, coleslaw, or cucumber, all of which would have made it more of a meal. Get better food at MacDonalds! I ordered flat bread with hummus, roast squash, pomegranate, cucumber, chick peas and rocket. Only there was no evidence of pomegranate or cucumber and again the smallest smear of hummus. I did not complain at time, having driven for 8 hours from south coast and just wanted to rest. Breakfast was mediocre. My sister had a danish pastry which tasted stale. I had yoghurt only and then we decided to leave, preferring to eat at Tebay services on M6 where we know the food is good!
