Everything! Spacious enough for 2, beautiful yet simple decor comfortable and well equipped, facilities in bathroom (excellent shower) and neat clean well equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and plenty of cupboards and drawers + basic supplies), comfortable bed and generous storage in bedroom, generous sofa inounge plus small round dining table and TV, utility cupboard with vacuum cleaner, iron & ironing board etc. All in all perfect!

Off-road parking was a. bonus but can be a little tight to maneouvere into if parked cars are on the road. All manageable however and wonderful tknhave a free space to leave car.

Good location for exploring Glasgow, for eating, shopping, entertainments etc. Interior has a very clean and contemporary design and décor. The room cleaning service was good. The reception staff were helpful. There was a breakfast area with an ok buffet choice. Great cocktails across the street in the Alchemist. Very close to Queen Street Station, and the hop-on hop-off busses start just 100 metres away on George Square.

Our room was very 'compact' - no window, no wardrobe (so we lived out of our cases), we couldn't get the TV to work, and the en-suite toilet (behind just a glass sliding door) was about 1 metre from the bed. Out of embarrassment, we used the downstairs public toilets to poo. When we mentioned this at reception, it was explained that Z was, after all, an 'urban' hotel, as if to say "what else did you expect"? Well for the price we paid, we older non urban-savvy folks expected better. We checked out a day early.

We had a lovely stay at the Holiday Inn. The premium room we had on the 4th floor was spacious and clean. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast was ample with a good selection. The location of this hotel was brilliant and the car parking is free, we actually left the car there and got the bus into the city centre, it stops right opposite. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is having some renovation work done on the reception area until July but this doesn't really impact on your stay.

The shower was awful sadly. Either scalding hot or freezing. No in between. The bed was rock solid. The room just felt a tad unloved and very basic for the price.
