The garden retreat was exactly as described, and as per the photos, a luxurious retreat in the countryside, where everything was thoughtfully presented and of the highest spec. The bed was the ultimate in luxury and so comfortable. I would move in tomorrow if they would let me 😃 Hannah and Trevor are warm and wonderful hosts, Hannah left us a beautiful gift of the yummiest lemon drizzle cake. The village of Marbury is stunning! The Swan pub is literally across the road for great food and wine. If you want a relaxing get away somewhere serene this is the place for you.

The property was amazing everything was modern and comfy felt like my own home as it had equipped with its own vacuum, iron, mop for the house to be clean, I really like the fact that its got 2 balconies and 2 tv’s in each room and a dining table the sofas are amazing too perfect for movies or watching a game.

The only downside is when we checked the kitchen cloth was already used and previous marks on it which wasn’t fresh, there was no kitchen tissue so had to constantly use the bathroom roll and when cooking i feel like the kitchen lacks in equipment and i needed kitchen tongs and a spatular which wasn’t there during my stay aside from these things the house was 10/10

What a fabulous boat! 10 mins walk from the station although a car parking permit was available . Nice bars on the quayside for an oj prior to going into town for a concert. The boat was really comfy and clean.

Extremely close to terminal 5 - a corridor walkway connects the hotel to the departures area. Good bathroom with big bath and shower. Food in restaurant was good.

Room was really very basic for the price we paid. Funny musty smell in the room- like the carpets needed a good clean. It was fine for a one night stay and you are paying for the location and convenience. Biggest issue was that the hotel fire alarms went off at 3am!!!! Scary! We left our rooms immediately - the lifts were still operating so we made our way to reception. there were no staff around to advise us or reassure us, a number of guests gathered in reception all very worried, not sure if we should head outside or not, and a person eventually appeared at reception and told us ‘they were investigating’ and didn’t seem at all worried or apologetic at what had happened. Turns out someone was smoking in their room!! So 1. Why not have very clear and visible No Smoking signs in all rooms? Particularly with a very international guest profile (We didn’t see any signs in our room) and 2. If fire alarms go off, train your staff on how to deal with that and to guide and reassure worried guests. I would hate to think how a real fire would have been handled. I got the impression from the staff reaction that the room smoking alarms going off has happened before. So a very poor nights sleep was had ahead of a long flight the next morning, which was the whole point of us staying at the hotel to get a decent rest ahead of the trip. Some basic, visible, multilingual No Smoking room signs would help. The whole experience shows a real lack of thought and care for guests.

Close to everything we wanted to do together. Coffee shops, pubs, restaurants etc all within a 5-10 walk from the hotel.

Nothing too trivial but the picture in our room (9) of the horse's mouth & nose. However, given we were in Newmarket & it's the home of Horse Racing, I can see why but there must be other photos more appealing than the one in room 9.
