Close to train station, ferries and downtown waterfront. Interesting historic building that may be undergoing gradual upgrades. Possible to book a single room for one person- my room was fine and had a large window that opened, with a little effort. So nice to enjoy cool, fresh air at night. A few cosmetic upgrades to the plumbing fixtures etc in that room wld lift it up. The comfortable bar and pleasant,helpful staff made it a good spot to stay while Oban.

Welcomed with coffee & biscuits on arrival. Comfortable room, Off road parking, Attention to detail such as small fridge in room with milk & a couple of soft drinks, Lovely breakfast & nice coastal views.

Reception staff were very helpful in sorting out an issue with the room. We had a very good breakfast, we couldn't ask for any more :). the location was perfect for our needs as visiting family.

Thankfully the scaffolding in the next building was taken down after 8.30am :). We couldn't stay longer.

Bedding felt wet and damp and a very hard film mattress, which, due to my disability lead me to have backache, etc The whole room smelled damp and did not give a nice feeling. I did not manage to get pictures.

Creaky floors in hallway, no option to turn off heating. No phone in room had to walk over to reception with wet hair for hairdryer that was supposed to be in room.

Room could be better cleaned and painted there was stains on the wall right next to our faces and my son woke up with bites on his legs from the bedding
