  Location and staff (all of them) were superb as was the breakfast. The gym is the best hotel gym I've been in recently! Stunningly beautiful restaurant. Silk pillowcases were also a nice touch which was appreciated.

  The duvet was HOT - it would have been good to have had options (but then again I didn't ask). The room was very nice - freestanding bath, beautiful vanity - but not WOW, The price difference for this one vs a standard was large so I did expect something a little more. Maybe unrealistic.

  Rooms very, very small. Only one small.double bed for 1 adult & 1 teenager!! Bed most uncomfortable ever, hardly any sleep. No space what so ever in room! Very, very uncomfortable. Toilet roll holder completely broken, sellotape surrounding jagged edges, no towel rails, towels kept on top of toilet pan - so unhygienic! Shower tiny, unable to use without soaking bathroom. Could hear everything from surrounding rooms, people coughing, alarm clocks, conversations. Rooms totally let hotel down, would never return!

  Food was slow, mediocre and overpriced. Trying to be something it isn't. Breakfast was painfully slow each day..Day 1 took 45mins to get egg on toast Check out was painful too, claimed booking hadn't paid them and I was stupid enough to pay again as I literally had a train to caatch. Still waiting for my refund!
