It was self contained and cosy there was a nice garden area with use of barbecue. There was a fridge and microwave and plates and cutlery were washed for us. Good storage area and parking.

the hotel looked cheap, despite being really expensive. The room wasn't the cleanest and breakfast didn't have many options. The reception looks crap (more hostel-like). To enter the hotel, there are a few steps (not friendly for big suitcases and wheelchairs, I can imagine). Room was small. Moquette is all around (not hygienic) but I guess this is a British thing

The shower; gadget to switch hot water on took some getting used to, but once we did it was fine. No bottle of water in the room and perhaps some variety of teas would have been great, rather than just the standard. Some dust over furniture surfaces, but this could be forgiven.

The 'Attic' room we were allocated was disappointing, very low ceiling, no wardrobe/closet to hang clothes except a nail behind the door with TWO coat hangers. No shower just a hand held shower and no shower curtain so bathroom floor got very wet. Toilet seat very loose and too small for the toilet. Staff said we could not change room. We checked out after one night as facilities not up to standard we had had when we stayed there last year. Would not give us a refund for the two nights we did not spend there. Will never book to stay there again.

The room was very dirty and unclean, there was toe nails and paint all over the bathroom floor, food on the carpert, a bag over the smoke alarm, the room smelt of smoke and was awful for someone that doesn’t smoke, and the door was on a hatch with no handle
