  I have stayed at No.16 three or four times now over the years. I noticed on this occasion that it is starting to look a little tired. It is one of the more expensive places to stay. It states it as being boutique accommodation. Therefore, to me, it should warrant the name and price. The bathroom needs refreshing, as do the carpets. The cleaning, as far as I'm concerned, wasn't up to scratch. Dusty surfaces, windows could do with a clean, just general housekeeping. I was on the ground floor (room 2), which I hadn't been on before, and honestly wouldn't want to be on again. The noise of people going up and down the stairs is terrible. If it wasn't so convenient for the beach, I'd find somewhere else cheaper to stay that was bed and breakfast for the price.

  Very welcoming at check-in., Good sized car park. Evening meals good - dd had a steak and I had surf and turf. Steaks cooked to our requested medium rare. Comfy beds. bathroom is snug but it was just one night so not a problem. Bar downstairs is quiet - did not disturb us at all. Outddor key provided so dd could go off with her friends and come back late and still get in. Breakfast was superb! Full English with tasty sausages and bacon, best hash browns we have ever tasted. Easy check-out

  The room was rather spacey and the beds were comfortable. Towels and kitchen equipment (plates, cups, etc.) Were provided. We found some cookies and coffee pods to use for a small breakfast on the go. The bathroom was clean and well kept. The guy we shared the flat with was super nice.

  The fridge. Oh god. For the first two days the fridge was so stinky that even the food absorbed the smell and tasted like it. It was unclear that we will have to share the flat with someone else too. It should've been specified.

  Breakfast was really good. We really liked the layout with the huge foyer and pool nearby so kids could swim and not be too far away. Nice decor, comfy sofas, good dinner menu.

  Our room was a long trek - room 2001. And it was fiddly to get the light to stay on but we worked it out in the end. Shower gel in shower was empty and would have been handy to have mini toothpaste in the bathroom as we ran out! Our fault but would have been handy.
