The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Practically located right by the M1, meaning I could drive North and simply turn off the road and get into a comfortable bed without fussing in finding a place to stay after my long drive and long working day. No frills but perfectly adequate. Good value too with an ample breakfast too. The reception staff were friendly and helpful too.

I found some of the louder residents smoking in their rooms to be a bit intimidatingly inconsiderate.

The hotel is at the high end of hotels in the area. It's is currently going through a refurbishment. The room was very nice and what i expected for the cost of our stay.

The hotel had a restaurant and bar, recently renovated and we booked planning to eat at the hotel on Sunday. Unfortunately when we asked to book a table we were advised that the hotel had a function and we would not be able to do so. When we asked if we could use the bar, we were advised that this was also unavailable to us. So we found ourselves staying in a hotel, unable to eat in the restaurant or use the bar. So no use of the facilities they promote. We were given to understand that thus was the case for many weeks to come. Therefore I would suggest that if you plan to use the restaurant or the bar, avoid booking at the weekend. Our room had breakfast included. This is available in the breast room. It was very nice, with a wide choice. Unfortunately, possibly as part of the refurbishment, the dining chairs have been upcycled. While they look very nice, they are very unsteady and 'sway' when you sit on them. I swapped my chair from another table, which I saw another guest do, but they all appeared to be the same. So while the breakfast was very enjoyable, the experience was spoiled by the uncomfortable chairs.

The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was very good.

The hotel decor is a little tired and perhaps needs redecorated, e.g. wallpaper coming off, black grout. Not as close to the Playhouse for walking as we thought.

Breakfast was limited in choice. Not much else going on around the area. Couple of other restaurants but that’s it.
