The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Excellent breakfasts with home made jams, compotes and free range eggs. We were upgraded from a twin room to a family unit consisting of 2 bedrooms for free. Location was great, afew minutes walk from the station and the city centre. Our hard working host Susan was very friendly and helpful and a fountain of information and advice.

Definitely the weather, as it was raining for a lot of our stay (though apparently the previous week had been hot and sunny).

The room was basic but functional. It was in a good location in the village and access to food. Off road parking is available but does have a few pot holes. Staff were friendly and helpful.

For the price paid, there was no amenities provided and the soap dispenser was empty. The path from hotel to the annex could do with an upgrade. An offering of fruit in some form at breakfast would be a nice addition .

The location is amazing and the sea view rooms have a fabulous view over the harbour and beyond. The rooms are basic but comfortable with ironing facilities, wall heater and a plug in fan

The shower was running cold on the first day. Luckily it was hot in the second

Room and bed comfortable. Lounge area good, plenty of space to relax. Nice location surrounded by golf course and trees. Tasty breakfast with good selection and locally sourced bacon.
Negative section of review
Towel rail didn’t work after first night, radiator in bedroom couldn’t be controlled and too hot when on evenings and mornings. Toilet flush temperamental. We left a message about these items and hopefully they’re fixed now. Road closures from the hotel to Stratford made the location less convenient than previously.

Generally a great and cheap way to stay in London while exploring. Location can't be beaten and there is no age restrictions.
Negative section of review
Nothing much. In my experience, it attracts people who are less on the social side than other popular hostels in the city.
Positive section of review
Greated with a warm welcome, room clean and the bed comfortable. It was amazing, the breakfast, location and staff were great.
Negative section of review
Nothing.
Positive section of review
Comfortable bed, good size of the room, lots of storage, patio and garden.

Cleanliness issues: dust in various places, dirty bathroom doors, stains after water leakage over the window. Dated/mismatched furniture

Great location

Plenty of better value options in the village or surrounding area. Dirty mugs in the cupboard, grime around bath and taps. Watch out for additional costs for insurance - booking page stated twice that is fully refundable, but there's an admin fee which is not refunded. Not a big fee but not expected and first time I've ever been charged for a pre authorisation payment in case of damage. Also had to chase for check in details
