Very happy with the Purdy Hotel a pleasant surprise once I had booked the hotel I realised it was a services I thought it was going to be noisy very busy with traffic ,how ever I was wrong a Modern hotel, room was great very clean the bed was very comfortable Overlooking fields very quiet no traffic noise. We had a tasty evening meal, breakfast was great to The staff were all very polite and helpful will definitely book the Purdy hotel again soon

Very enjoyable tasty breakfast attentive staff, the room we had our breakfast was decorated lovely it really matched the period of the building.The hotel was decorated very well I should imagine its not easy with older property. We would stay again we wanted a base to visit Craggside and we were not dissapointed

We were intending to eat at the hotel however they were extra busy so we went to the hotel about 100yds away which was awful. However that was not the turks head fault when we go again to Rothbury we will have to book a table before we get there, the food did look great

Convenient location. Clean. Quiet. Renovated apartment. Kitchen well stocked with more gadgets and accessories than you could expect for a short term rental. Plenty of hot water. Heating worked well. Good access and parking.

The sofa bed in lounge is a king single size it could work for 2 young children but 2 adults would struggle to share it. It was fine for us as we were 3 people. Strong smell of smoke in common hallway was not nice. Messaging leading up re lockbox code was confusing but we eventually found a third message with the correct code to open it.

Facilities were great. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was incredible. Room was comfortable and had everything you needed. View of the city was great.

Lovely apartment, very clean, tidy and well looked after. Location is great, very convenient to lots of amenities. Great instructions on getting key, including video.

Paying deposit was a bit of a faff and a 2nd set of keys/fob would be nice.

No place to sit - I.e if you're on a top bunk it would be helpful so you could sit and put your socks on. I think one stool in every dormitory would make life a lot easier.
